Viktor Korolev is a Russian composer and performer of pop-chanson songs, many of which have become hits. Repeatedly became a laureate of various music awards. In the early nineties he tried himself as an actor, starring in four films.
Biography: early years
Victor Ivanovich Korolev was born on July 26, 1961 in Taishet, near Irkutsk. My mother was the director of the school, and my father worked as a railway worker on the Abakan - Taishet stretch. As a child, Victor was ill a lot, and to improve his health, his parents assigned him to the athletics section. In his free time, he was fond of music. At school, Victor was an excellent student, the received fours greatly upset him.
Soon the Korolev family moved from the Irkutsk region to Kaluga. By that time, Victor had finished nine classes. After school, he continued his education at the Kaluga School of Music. Korolev chose the piano class. He graduated from college with honors. Immediately after that, Victor decided to enter a theater institute, but he did not pass the entrance tests.
The Queen had no choice but to join the army. He served in the missile forces. The leadership of the military unit, having learned about his musical education, sent the recruit to the staff orchestra.
After the army, Korolev decided to try again to enter the theater institute. The second attempt was crowned with success, and Victor became a student of the famous "Sliver".
Career
In 1988, having become a certified artist, Victor got a job at the musical theater of Yuri Sherling. Korolev played in musicals for seven months. In parallel, he also starred in the film Remembering Summer. He liked working in the theater, but even then Korolev was fired up with the idea to try himself on the stage.
At the same time, Victor received an offer from the famous director from Morocco, Suheil bin Barca, who planned to shoot a large-scale historical film. Victor auditioned and played the role of Monello in it. The filming process lasted for a year. Victor worked on the same site with Claudia Cardinale herself. The film was called "The Battle of the Three Kings" and was shown on the big screen in 1990.
In 1992, Victor starred in two films by the Estonian director Rein Liblik: “Playing Zombies, or Life After the Battles” and “Silhouette in the Window Opposite”. On this, he decided to end his acting career and focus on the stage.
In the same year, Korolev released his debut disc "Broadway on Tverskaya". Soon Victor took part in the International Festival of Pop Songs "Golden Deer", which was held by Romanian television. He became his diploma holder. After that, Korolev began to actively record new songs and release records.
He was looking for "his" authors for a long time. The first years of his journey on the stage can be safely called a time of trial and error. The largest recording studios refused to work with him, because they did not consider him a promising performer.
In 1997, Victor recorded another album, which he called "Bazar-Vokzal". It consisted mainly of perky songs. Soyuz, the most popular and influential recording studio at that time, offered Korolev a contract. The disc was released in huge numbers. In parallel, the studio shot a video for the main song from this album. Its director was Maxim Sviridov. The video was filmed in the so-called "plasticine" genre. He received active rotation on television. Thanks to this, Korolev became truly popular.
In 2010, Viktor received the Order for Contribution to Culture, II degree, and two years later, for his contribution to the development of Russian culture. Since 2011, the work of the Queen has been repeatedly awarded the Chanson of the Year award.
Between 1992 and 2019, he released 23 albums. Among the famous songs of Victor:

Korolev has performed several duets with other artists. And they all turned out to be very successful. So, he recorded joint songs with the Vorovayki group, Olga Stelmakh. The duet of Victor with the widow of Mikhail Krug - Irina stands apart. Their joint song "Bouquet of White Roses" was a great success.
In an interview, Korolev noted that he tries not to touch on social themes in his songs, as they plunge listeners into depression. Victor wants to give fun and only good emotions with his compositions. And he does it. Journalists have long called the Queen a “holiday man”. He always comes to interviews smiling and in good spirits. Judging by the feedback from fans, his concerts are also always filled with positives.
Personal life
Victor Korolev does not like to give interviews. Even if he agrees to talk with journalists, he immediately warns that there are no questions about his personal life in him. It is known that Korolev was married. He is now divorced. The artist carefully hides information about the number of children. However, some facts do slip through in his interview. So, in a conversation with TV presenter Ksenia Strizh, he noted that in 2010 he became a grandfather for the first time. Now the singer has three grandchildren.
Also, Victor Korolev does not hide his love for partying and the weaker sex. It is rumored that it is for this reason that the singer divorced his wife and is in no hurry to enter into official relations again.
Korolev spends his free time at home. In his words, he likes to just lie on the couch, and also read classical drama.
