The Bremen Town Musicians are favorite heroes of the good old fairy tale: funny, courageous, sympathetic and real friends to all the disadvantaged and in love. Any country would consider it an honor to be the homeland of such literary heroes.
Instructions
Step 1
Perhaps their homeland is somewhere in Russia? For example, in Khabarovsk? After all, it is in this wonderful city on the Amur that a wonderful sculptural composition is located, based on images of heroes from the long-standing popular animated film The Bremen Town Musicians (1969) and In the Footsteps of the Bremen Town Musicians (1973). Here the sultry Atamansha dances, surrounded by Coward, Goonies and Experienced, the Troubadour sings romantic songs and gives a wreath to his beloved Princess, and the Cat, the Dog and the Rooster accompany the Donkey singing rock and roll composition. Although it is strange - why all of a sudden it was Khabarovsk?
Step 2
It could just as well be the wonderful Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk. It was there, on the square in front of the May Day House of Culture, that the composition of the sculptor Andrei Kasatkin has been located since 2007. And since then, three times a day, the cry of the Rooster and the melody from the cartoon remind the townspeople of the presence of a company of cheerful musicians who have settled here forever. Although for a Siberian city, the heroes are too lightly dressed. Most likely, their homeland is where it is somewhat warmer than in Siberia.
Step 3
Okay. If not Khabarovsk, not Krasnoyarsk, then maybe in Sochi? There, too, the sculpture "The Bremen Town Musicians", located on Arts Square opposite the Art Museum, feels great. True, for some reason the Troubadour is absent there. But he is in the sculptural composition of the same author Hakob Khalafyan, but in Lipetsk.
Step 4
In this case, perhaps, it is Lipetsk that will risk claiming the role of the city-homeland of the "Bremen Town Musicians" - why not? A brutal composition created in a real smithy from a black metal water pipe and located not far from the Children's City Hospital, it seems that it speaks of both durability and plasticity of the fairy-tale characters that do not lend themselves to corrosion and changes in characters. A very symbolic composition.
Step 5
And yet … Of course, the homeland of the old, beloved fairy tale is Germany. It was there that its creators, the brothers Grimm, lived. And it was there that they settled their cheerful, good-natured characters: not far from the city of Bremen - in the Bremen forest.
Step 6
There is a belief that to this day in the Bremen forest there is the same hut, from which in ancient times, itinerant musicians expelled the robbers who terrorized the city of Bremen and its environs. In which they still live: the immortals Donkey, Rooster, Dog and Cat.
Step 7
As for the monument to the heroes of the fairy tale, there are such - very, very diverse - in many countries: Germany - in Bremen and Zulpich, Erfurt and Furth and Leipzig; in Latvia - in Riga; in Russia - in Sochi, Lipetsk, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, St. Petersburg; in Japan - in Kawaguchi-ko.
