Childhood and youth

Edward was born in Ukraine in 1934. After the end of the war and returning from evacuation, the family settled in Moldova. In the drama club of the House of Pioneers, Edward's artistic abilities were revealed for the first time. But the teenager dreamed of a military career, so he was enrolled in the Suvorov School. However, poor health did not allow him to go further along the path of military education, unexpectedly for everyone, the young man entered VGIK. After graduating from high school in 1958, he went to work at the Film Actor's Studio Theater.

Career

A young man with a firm look and characteristic appearance was immediately noticed, already in the 2nd year he got his first role in a movie. The artist made his debut in the film "Green Valley" in 1954. After a successful start, he "got into the cage" and began to appear regularly. One after another followed pictures: "First Echelon" (1955), "Different Fates" (1956), "Wind" (1958), "Companions" (1959), "Cossacks" (1961).

The film "The Case of the Motley" (1958) received a great success, which was watched by almost 34 million viewers at the box office. In the detective story, Bredun skillfully played the role of Mitya Neverov. Popularity was added by the heroes of Bredun in the comedies "The Twelve Chairs" (1971) and "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession" (1973). In the first picture, Eduard created the image of Pasha Emilievich, in the second - a speculator with radio components. The artist's filmography includes more than 30 works, including many episodes and supporting roles.

Personal life

In 1955, on the set of First Echelon, the actor met Isolde Izvitskaya, and soon proposed to her. After the release of the picture "Forty-first" (1956), the actress became famous. Bradun could not boast of the main roles and was jealous of his wife's success. More and more people said about him: "Izvitskaya's husband." He began to drink, a few years later his wife became addicted to this addiction. In this behavior of the actor, there was a desire to lower his wife below him. This marriage did not bring joy or make them happy. The childless family union turned out to be a fatal mistake, ruining their life and career.

By the beginning of the 70s, the couple finally drank themselves. Isolde began to have problems with coordination of movements and a clouding of her mind. In this state, Edward left his wife and went to her friend. The unhappy woman died a month after the betrayal, she spent the last weeks all alone in her own apartment.

Bradun tried to start all over again, even starred in several cameo roles. But he could not give up his addiction, even a new love did not help. The artist did not live only three months before his 50th birthday - his heart refused. Like Izvitskaya, the actor was discovered a few days after the incident. So in 1984, the biography of the actor Eduard Bredun ended tragically.
