Biography
Andrei Yuryevich Tolubeev was born on March 30, 1945 in an acting family. Yuri Tolubeev and Tamara Aleshina, Andrei's parents, famous artists of the Leningrad Drama Theater named after I. Pushkin. His father's career was going well: he was invited to filming, allowed to play the main roles in performances. Soon, Tolubeev Sr. received the highest Stalin Cinematic Prize of the USSR for the role of General Panteleev.
The career of his wife Tamara was not so brilliant. Over time, the couple drifted apart, and when the child was four, they parted. Andrey stayed with his mother. Tamara also became famous a few years later and received the title of Honored Artist. Her personal life never worked out. The boy's father remarried.
Since childhood, Andrei Tolubeev dreamed of becoming an actor, which his parent unexpectedly began to hinder. According to Yuri Tolubeev, this is not the most financial and happy profession. The relationship between father and son, despite the remarriage of Tolubeev Sr., has always been open and friendly. Andrei often stood behind the scenes during his father's performances, played small children's roles in performances and raved about an actor's career.
At the insistence of Yuri, he entered the Military Medical Academy. Prior to that, Tolubeev Jr. was rejected for sight at a medical examination in another profession: the guy dreamed of becoming an astronaut. The time of studying in medicine was fertile for Andrey in unleashing his creative potential. Tolubeev takes part in university amateur performances, strengthens his desire to become an actor, and after graduating from the university and the due work, he receives an education at LGITMiK. Graduated from Igor Gorbachev's course in 1975.
Career
After graduating from the Academy of Theater Arts, Andrei Tolubeev is invited to work at the Gorky Theater by the famous director Georgy Tovstonogov. The aspiring artist charmed the viewer, conquered him with his game. The name of Tolubeev stood on a par with the legendary Oleg Basilashvili, Kirill Lavrov, Alisa Freindlich. In the Bolshoi Drama Theater, Andrei Yurievich played all his life.
Tolubeev devoted more than 30 years of work to the theater, during which time he played in more than fifty performances at the BDT. Critics noted his talent and performances with the participation of the artist: "The Pickwick Club", "Optimistic Tragedy", "The Cherry Orchard" and many others, which supported the high image of the theater.
Tolubeev did not immediately win the recognition of moviegoers. He first became an actor as a teenager. However, the creators of the black-and-white painting "A Sharp Turn Ahead" did not even mention Andrey's name in the credits. The next, already "legal" film experience - the role of Slava Karasev in the film "You Can Still Be in Time", the actor received only 14 years later.
In the early 80s, directors began to invite Andrei Tolubeev to shoot minor characters and small roles. The actor creates realistic images, gains a reputation as a professional. Films with his participation from that period:

Personal life
Andrei Yurievich Tolubeev was married three times. The first two marriages quickly fell apart. The actor married the third time in 1985 to the actress Ekaterina Marusyak. Only she could attract his mother. Catherine gave birth to a happy husband of two daughters: Elizabeth and Nadezhda.
Lisa is fond of taekwondo, she is the eldest daughter of an actor. Among juniors, the girl became the absolute World Champion. Elizaveta graduated from a law school, worked for several years by profession. Paternal genes took over - she continued the theatrical dynasty. Lisa has a daughter, Vasilisa. Nadia is an actress at the Etude Theater, St. Petersburg.
Cause of death
On April 7, 2008, Andrei Yuryevich Tolubeev died. He was tormented by a serious illness - inoperable pancreatic cancer. The artist was buried on Volkovsky next to his father. After his death, a variety of rumors began to circulate about him.
In 2005, Tolubeev voiced Aloisy Mogarych in the film adaptation of M. Bulgakov's novel The Master and Margarita. There is a belief that all the actors involved in the filming are in trouble. After the release of the series, 10 years later, 17 people died, including Tolubeev. They attribute this to some kind of curse of Bulgakov's novel.
Rumor attributes the curse to the TV series "Gangster Petersburg", with the filming of which the death of 40 actors in 15 years is associated, as well as the sons of the two main actors.
