Biography
Vladimir Viktorovich was born in Moscow in 1965, on March 2. After the future organist was educated at school, he entered the conservatory. Here Khomyakov simultaneously comprehends the basics of playing the organ and the piano. His teachers were the greatest professors and associate professors. They noticed a talented young man, his extraordinary gift. Therefore, it is not surprising that Vladimir Viktorovich was invited to work at the Odessa Philharmonic even when he was a student.
Two years after graduating from the Conservatory, Khomyakov went to Riga to study the art of organ building with a master of the Riga Dome Cathedral.
Career
Vladimir Khomyakov has had many creative trips. So, first he was born in Moscow, then went to the Odessa Conservatory. Then, in order to thoroughly study the structure of his favorite instrument, Vladimir Viktorovich went to Riga. But this city was not yet the end point in the route of the talented musician.
So, in 1987, fate decreed that Khomyakov was sent to Chelyabinsk. Here he helps to mount the organ in the organ hall.
Khomyakov stayed here to work. In Chelyabinsk, Vladimir Viktorovich becomes not only a solo organist, but also a master of this instrument. And in 1999 Khomyakov V. V. was appointed artistic director of organ festivals in the city of Chelyabinsk.
Now the famous musician goes to Germany to the famous organ building company. He was invited here to work as an organ master.
V. V. Khomyakov is doing a lot of social work. He is one of the founders of the New Organ Movement. This is the name of the association created by him and his associates.
From an interview with the master
Unsurprisingly, the unique musician who made a huge contribution to the popularization of the organ is often interviewed. After all, he was able to remake various melodies for performance on this ancient instrument. Even rock music is among them.
When asked by journalists about what kind of music Vladimir Viktorovich listens to, he replies that he has both a cassette recorder and old records at home. He also listens to music on the Internet. But most often he does this at home in order to solve work problems.
When asked how many hours a day it is best to play the organ for the instrument to last longer, Khomyakov replies that it is about 6-7 hours a day. He adds that playing the organ daily will help the instrument last longer.
When asked if he takes students, Vladimir Viktorovich answers in the negative. He says that he might be happy to share his knowledge, but he has a very busy schedule. After all, the musician gives more than 50 concerts a year, tours a lot, he has little free time.
