Surya Shivakumar is an Indian actor who has starred in the films Lionheart, Overcome Yourself and All Together. He also works as a TV presenter and producer.
Biography and personal life
Surya was born on July 23, 1975 in Chennai, India. The actor's real name is Saravanan. Surya is a stage name. His father, Palaniswami Gounder, is a Tamil actor known to viewers under the pseudonym Sivakumar. Surya also works for Tamil television. A boy and a girl grew up in the Shikavumar family. Surya's brother also became an actor. Shivakumar was educated at Loyola College and graduated as a merchant.
He did not aspire to be an actor. Surya was going to export clothes. He even turned down offers to act in films. In the end, he agreed to one of them, but only to earn money to start his own company. The first roles were disastrous, because Saravanan did not know anything about acting. The painting "The Son of a Mother" in 2001 helped him to feel what to do in front of the camera, how to behave.
