Those whose youth fell on the 90s are probably familiar with the voice of Yuri Klinsky, better known as Yuri Khoy. Childhood

Yura was born on July 27, 1964 in the family of Nikolai Mitrofanovich and Maria Kuzminichna Klinsky. My father devoted himself to the profession of an engineer at an aircraft plant, his mother worked at the same enterprise as a riveter. Yura grew up as an ordinary Voronezh boy. The only thing that distinguished him from his peers was his great love for music. The creative inclinations of the teenager were instilled by his father, who wrote poetry and even tried to publish. Rock and roll was often played in the house, and there was no ban on Western music. At first, Yuri mastered the guitar, and then, following in his father's footsteps, he began to compose poetry, and then write songs.

Youth

The young man's career began at the plant. At the same time, he received a driver's license. He served in the tank forces in the Far Eastern Blagoveshchensk. Returning home, I tried many specialties. For three years he served in the traffic police, in the protection. He worked at the plant as a milling machine operator, loader, operator of CNC machines. Any work that forced him into some kind of framework was hated. Klinskikh devoted all his free time to music. He did not dream of fame, playing a musical instrument and creating songs was perceived as a hobby. Love for horror films and mystical literature had a great influence on Yura's work. In the early 80s, a self-taught musician recorded his best songs on a tape recorder. The first stage performance took place in 1987 at the city rock club.

"Gaza Strip"

The Levoberezhny District of Voronezh, famous for its unfavorable ecology and rampant crime, was dubbed the "gas sector". With this name, Yura Klinskikh appeared at the dawn of his solo career. The team of musicians was formed six months later, but its composition was changing all the time. Only the style and image of the group remained constant. For Yura and his musicians, there was no censorship or forbidden topics.

The success of a simple provincial guy could take place only thanks to the onset of perestroika and democratic changes in society. At first, the collective gave concerts only in their native Voronezh. The "Gas Sector" gained wide popularity thanks to amateur recordings that spread outside the city at an unprecedented speed. Since few of the listeners knew their idol by sight, dozens of his doubles traveled around the country.

The debut albums "Plugi-Woogie" and "Collective Farm Punk" were recorded in a terrible quality, so they sold only among local amateurs. In 1990, the guys recorded the Evil Dead and Yadryona Louse collections. The listeners were very impressed by the rebel and swearing man of the Klinsky. Although he tried not to abuse profanity, she was often present in his songs - it was easier to convey the characters of the characters. During the concerts, Yuri used his favorite cry "Hoy!" This is how the pseudonym was born.

The Gas Sector toured extensively throughout the country and abroad. Yuri Khoy's songs fully reflected the time in which he lived. Many works have emerged from ordinary everyday situations. His work aroused great interest. It was admired or not accepted, but it certainly could not leave anyone indifferent. In some compositions, folklore notes sounded, so there were those who considered it new folk music.

In some songs, the author reflected the events that happened in his life. The song "Java" about high-speed motorcycle riding that Hoy loved, "30 years" was dedicated to his anniversary. Everyone who has completed military service is familiar with "Demobilization". Over time, the compositions became more melodic: "Lyrics", "Your Call".

Klinskikh and Khoy were like two different people. On stage, Yura looked tough and uncompromising. At the very beginning of his career, he resembled a careless and swanky punk. Later, leather jackets and army equipment were replaced by trousers, shirts and expensive shoes. Yuri was not an adherent of one style, he wore what was convenient for him, and he attributed the changes in appearance to age and the wisdom that came with him. In the circle of friends, the musician transformed, became cheerful and kind. A man of great soul, he possessed incredible energy and charisma.

Personal life

Yuri met his wife Galina before the army. During the time spent together, the wife gave birth to two daughters. The elder Irina became a professional psychologist, the younger Lilia works at Lukoil. At a concert in 1991, Hoy met the young blonde Olga Samarina, they began an affair. It is believed that the girl became the cause of the singer's addictions. The wife knew about the existence of a rival and the throwing of her husband, but kept the marriage. She preserved this loyalty even after his death, without creating a new family.

The 35-year-old idol left behind a great artistic legacy. There are no less plans left unfulfilled by him. The creator of the legendary group and its permanent soloist did not have a special musical education, but received the main thing - the love of millions. On the day of the musician's funeral, a heavy downpour broke out, but fans came to see off their idol to the left bank of the city - to the "Gas Sector".

Mysterious death

It all ended unexpectedly on a July day in 2000. Khoy was found dead in a private house in Voronezh. On this day, accompanied by his friend Olga, he went to the shooting of a new video. On the way, he felt bad, and he stopped by a friend in the same house. An ambulance was called, but she was late. The official reports featured a "heart attack", but the man never complained about his health. They talked about drug addiction, alcohol dependence and progressive hepatitis. The details of the investigation remained secret. He seemed to have a presentiment of an imminent death. In his texts there are lines that he “will not live to see forty” and “death is ahead”. It is difficult to say if these words were a prophecy or a mere coincidence. After the leader's death, the band members added the 13th studio collection HellRaiser to the band's discography, this was their contribution to preserving the memory of the famous musician.
