Sergei Filippov is a Soviet actor, People's Artist of the RSFSR, who has played in dozens of popular films. His extraordinary charisma did its job: many of Filippov's phrases were circulated among the people for quotations. The actor became especially famous after the role of Kisa Vorobyaninov in the film "12 chairs".
Biography
Sergey Filippov was born in 1912 in one of the settlements in the Saratov region. The family barely earned a living, and the revolution that broke out soon hit the family well-being even harder. The father left home, and the future actor was raised by his mother and stepfather. At school, he studied poorly, part-time work in production was also not given at all. The only thing that worked well for Sergei was dancing, and he attended the choreographic circle with pleasure.
The young man thought about going to the ballet school, but was late for the appointment. Then he entered the circus technical school and, after graduating from it, still managed to take his place in the ballet troupe. His dancing career was prevented by an unexpected heart attack, which the novice artist suffered right on stage. Then in 1935 he got a job at the Leningrad Comedy Theater, where he worked for almost 30 years. At that time, the townspeople often attended theatrical performances, so Filippov quickly gained fame as a talented actor.
In 1937, Sergei Filippov made his film debut. It was a small role in The Fall of Kimas Lake. After a while, he starred in the films "Cinderella", "Member of the Government", and the famous phrase "Masik wants vodka!" from the painting "Girl without an address" for a long time went to the people. Sergei became famous as a brilliant comedian, they began to recognize him on the streets and often asked for an autograph.
In the 40s, Filippov was lucky to play in the famous comedy "Carnival Night", and in 1965 he brilliantly played the role of Kisa Vorobyaninov in the film adaptation of the legendary novel "12 Chairs". Both films were not without catchphrases that have become popular among viewers. In subsequent years, the actor appeared on the screen less often due to deteriorating health and was remembered only for his episodic role in the film "Heart of a Dog".
Personal life
Sergei Filippov was married twice. He met his first wife Alevtina Gorinovich at the school. A son, Yuri, was born in the marriage, but the initially strong union gave weakness and fell apart after a few years. After that, the ex-wife and son of the actor immigrated to the United States. Sergei fell into depression for a long time and still could not forgive his relatives.
Filippov's second wife was a woman named Antonina Golubeva, who turned out to be 13 years older than him. They were not an ideal couple and often quarreled: Antonina tried to control her husband in everything. The actor's wife died in 1989. This greatly shook the already weak health of Sergei. His cancer began to progress rapidly, and already in 1990 his beloved Soviet artist was gone. He was buried at the Northern Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
