Sports career
Laurent lived in Moscow for two years. Received secondary education at a special school at the French Embassy. Acquaintances and friends noted that the young man very quickly adapted both to the cold weather and to the dishes of Russian cuisine. On frosty days, he put on a muskrat hat and ordered a double portion of dumplings with sour cream for lunch. In 2009, my father was transferred to the position of coach of the Zenit-Kazan team. Laurent dropped into the gym in his spare time to see how his father was training. A few days later, he asked to join the youth team. From that moment on, his career in volleyball began.
At the very beginning, experts noted that Laurent was too small for volleyball - only 191 cm. However, experienced coaches knew well the shorter players who were considered world stars. Alekno Jr. did his best to fulfill all the instructions of the coach. Efficiency and perseverance helped the young player to master the technique of the game. After a while, Laurent was entrenched in the team. He made his worthy contribution to the games for the 2017 Russian Super Cup. The following year, the team became the champion of Russia.
Prospects and personal life
In 2019, the Zenit-Kazan team won the Champions League silver medal. Laurent Alecno did not miss a single game. Kazan volleyball players will meet with very strong rivals. The leading players cannot relax.
