Tatyana Pavlovna Vinogradova is famous as the author of more than one and a half hundred scientific works on the morphology and classification of diseases of the osteoarticular system. Fifty dissertations for the title of doctors and candidates of medical sciences have been defended under the guidance of the professor.

Working by vocation

There are many specialists in various scientific fields in the history of domestic medicine. Some of them made a valuable contribution to its establishment and improvement. One of the founders of bone pathology of the last century was Tatyana Pavlovna Vinogradova. Her name has gained worldwide fame.

The future famous scientist was born in 1894 on August 28 in a large family of a doctor in Ryazan. The purposeful girl chose the type of future activity following the example of her father. Tatyana Pavlovna became very tough in matters of defending scientific positions. However, this severity in her coexisted with responsiveness and emotional sensitivity in everyday life.

During the First World War, Vinogradova worked as a medical assistant at a local hospital. Then she left for the capital to study. After graduating from the medical faculty of Moscow State University in 1923, the graduate devoted her whole life to medicine. She constantly improved her knowledge of diseases of the articular and skeletal systems, practiced. During the holidays, the student worked part-time in rural outpatient clinics.

She completed her external studies, postgraduate studies. The promising student studied with the famous Russian pathologist academician Davydovsky. After completing the course of study, Vinogradova worked at the department as an assistant.

A year later, the talented employee was awarded a scientific degree without the obligatory defense of a thesis. She became a candidate of medical sciences. In 1934, Vinogradova began working at the Prosthetic Therapy Institute. In CITO she organized a pathology laboratory. She soon grew into a department that the professor had headed for nearly half a century.

Practice and theory

For many years Tatyana Pavlovna combined her profession with teaching. Only in 1948 did she stop teaching at Moscow State University. The choice of her field of activity was determined by the famous pathologist and mentor Rusakov.

Thanks to her dedication, the student became the largest morphologist in the country in the field of osteoarticular pathology. The small laboratory she organized has turned into a large diagnostic and consulting center. It is impossible to overestimate the contribution she made to domestic medicine.

The practitioner and theorist was engaged in self-education, she trained dozens of specialists in the field of traumatology and orthopedics. Vinogradova was engaged in research of scientific world literature. Her educational activities were not limited to councils.

A real hard worker strove to compile a cognitive heritage for future doctors. She collected the most unique histological preparations for the main branches of osteoarticular pathology.

Since 1969 Vinogradova began generalizing her own creativity and world experience. She published her first monographic work. The book, which was unique in its concept, had no analogues. The presentation was informative and comprehensive and at the same time simple. The 1973 edition of "Tumors of the Bones" became no less popular. Labor has long been considered an invaluable reference.

Scientific activity

For all of Vinogradova's time, four monographs and more than one and a half hundred scientific works were created. They not only combined information, but also included the latest data and approaches. Deservedly Tatyana Pavlovna for outstanding achievements was recognized as an honorary member of the All-Union Board of Societies of Pathologists and Orthopedic Traumatologists.

At the time of the birth of domestic bone pathology, in the late fifties, Vinogradova actively participated in symposia and conferences, published her works in journals. In the shortest possible time, she managed to bring practical and domestic science closer to the most advanced countries of the world at the levels of practice and theory.

Together with colleagues Tatyana Pavlovna, a classification of bone tumors was created, a generalization of data on oncoforms, the regenerative properties of cartilaginous tissues in trauma were established, and many modern methods of treatment were substantiated.

Awards

In 1967, the talented researcher and teacher was awarded the State Prize. She was awarded the Order of Lenin. For the most valuable scientific works and dissertations, the outstanding figure was awarded many medals. For the development, together with Rusakov, of the scientific basis of the pathology and physiology of the osteoarticular system, Vinogradova was awarded the title of Honored Scientist of the RSFSR in 1957. She was awarded the badge "Excellence in Healthcare"

In the field of studying an important part of science, Tatyana Pavlovna acquired the title of indisputable authority. She became one of the leading experts. She easily managed to overturn the established ideas about the subjects studied for a long time, the discovery of new facets of their knowledge. The opinion and recommendations of a wonderful teacher and specialist were listened to unquestioningly.

Whole generations of doctors have been trained by her books. Students and colleagues associated the serious and strict Tatiana Pavlovna with the judge. True, no one dared even try to award her with such a nickname.

Vinogradova was not a sociable person, however, she had many students and colleagues. In their memory, the professor retained memories of a non-standard and thoughtful teacher who gave his knowledge to people. Tatyana Pavlovna passed away on June 21, 1981.
