All his undertakings cannot be accommodated in one life, so you constantly have to choose something.
Childhood and youth
Maxim Pokrovsky was born on June 17, 1967 in Moscow. His father was a sports correspondent, but he passed away too early. Dad died when Max was 7 years old. The boy was raised by his mother. The guy from an early age was fond of music. He learned to play the guitar himself, without teachers and tutors. He just played the strings in his free time from school, trying to reproduce something. That made quite nice improvisations. Subsequently, he never received a musical education. Mom simply could not afford it and him. Therefore, Pokrovsky is a self-taught talent.
As a child, when asked what he wants to become when he grows up, he always answered: "A pilot … or a musician." Max even entered the aviation school, but later he had to part with the dream of the sky. After all, flight science is akin to astronautics. To conquer turns, you need to have good health, be physically strong and enduring by nature. And Max did not have outstanding training. And the guy had some problems with his heart, he literally lived in doctors' offices.
Creation. "My leg cramped"
In 1988, Pokrovsky, together with his friend Anton Yakumolsky, thought about creating their own project. It was decided to come up with a shocking name in order to immediately attract attention. This is how the Nogu Svelo group was born. The guys performed songs mostly frivolous: with funny stories, funny chants and sometimes even in non-existent languages. Some of the songs were in English. "Nogu svelo" quickly bribed the audience with its distinctive manner of chanting. Fans reached out to them in single file. On the stage, the guys created a real show: they jumped on one leg, howled in every way and in every possible way splashed their creative energy on the grateful listeners.
From the very birth, the group set a course for shocking. And they did it great. They even achieved a certain skill in this field. "Nogu Svelo" was played at first in the punk genre, and then gradually became softer. Now their style is most reminiscent of pop-rock.
Theater and cinema
Like all creative personalities, Max did not want to be content with only music. He was always attracted to the theatrical stage. Max is naturally endowed with an inquisitive mind. Once interested in something, he does not calm down until he lives a new hobby to the end. The same thing happened with the theater. He made the artist a hostage to his walls for a long time. The musician took part in more than one production, including in the projects of Valentin Gneushev. Cinema also did not bypass Pokrovsky. "Time is Money" and "Treasure Hunters" are the most famous films in which he starred.
Last Hero
In 2003, the musician was invited to take part in the "Last Hero" project. The offer impressed with its novelty, so it was difficult for Max, a desperate adventurer, to pass by. And he never for a second regrets the decision he made. Life on the island turned out to be difficult, but really exciting. The conditions were mercilessly Spartan. But who was it frightened? Precisely, not a hero of the story. He liked the island life so much that in 2004 he agreed to participate in the second part of the show.
Solo career
Since 2007, Maxim, in addition to working in a group, has also been engaged in solo activities. His music video "Shopping" has gained outstanding popularity in Europe. Maxim also works with his poet friend Gritseevich. They found a lot in common in their vision of how interesting music should be. Therefore, from time to time in the musical world, their joint brainchildren are shot: "Crocodile People", "Yellow Glasses" and "Asia-80". Poems are usually written by Gritseevich, and Pokrovsky composes music.
Personal life
Max is married. The family has two children. The musician met his beloved at a concert. The girl was fond of rock and roll and was, as they say, in a get-together. Somehow the musician immediately realized that this was "his" person and decided not to part with her. The family became for Maxim a stronghold in life, his fortress. All households have a common hobby for all - horse riding. They often like to go on an interesting horse ride together. Nobody does this professionally, just for the soul.
Pokrovsky has a distant and passionate dream - to travel all over the world. The idea of traveling around the world has not let him go for a very long time. Max saves energy and savings so that one day he will go on an alluring adventure.
Everyday life of a musician
Now Maxim is working on new inspiring projects. Writes music, poetry. She works at home, mostly at night, when the whole family is asleep. He says that he considers it wrong to combine work and home. But so far we are not talking about renting a studio. Therefore, you have to adapt. Maxim is already accustomed to a nocturnal lifestyle, slowly turning from a lark into an owl. Recently, the musician has taken a great interest in ditties. More than a dozen assets of folklore came out from under his pen. He was even invited to St. Petersburg to the festival of ditties, where Pokrovsky showed his creations to the world.
Once in an interview, Max admitted that when he goes on stage, he is always invariably nervous. Even now. After so many years of a successful career. And all because in his life there is no place for routine. He does not let the events get boring, boring and losing color. Pokrovsky is constantly in a state of search! Search for new sounds, impressions, discoveries and directions. Life is extremely interesting for him. This is probably why he always looks youthful, cheerful and energetic.
