Education
Alexey Polevoy was born on July 7, 1921 in the city of Moscow. He grew up in a theatrical family and from early childhood he knew and loved the stage. In 1937 he graduated from the Moscow secondary school number 323.
Creative way
Alexey Leonidovich devoted his whole life to the theater. From the age of 14 he studied in an amateur drama studio at the Goznak factory.
From 16 to 17 he served as an artist of the Yaroslavl Theater of the Young Spectator. From 17 to 20 years old - artist and assistant director of the Moscow Drama Theater under the direction of F. N. Kaverina. Simultaneously with his work, he graduated from courses in directing.
The career has developed along an ascending line. Polevoy served in various theaters in Moscow:
1941-43 - Moscow Theater of Satire;
1943-44 - State Variety and Miniature Theater;
1944-60 - artist and director of the Central Transport Theater;
1960-61 - Director of the Moscow Regional Drama Theater;
1961-62 - Artist of the State Academic Maly Theater of the USSR;
Since 1962, Alexey Leonidovich worked as the chief director. His performances were distinguished by good humor and delicate taste.
1962-63 - Theater "Kroshka" at the Central House of Artists (Central House of Artists in Moscow);
1963-65 - created and became the head of the famous satirical ensemble "Layout and Editing" at the All-Russian Touring and Concert Association;
07.1963-11.1963 - chief director of the All-Russian State Defense Committee;
1964-65 - director of the department of satire and humor of the All-Russian State Committee for Defense.
1965-68 - Artistic director of the workshop of the artistic word "Mosconcert".
He made an invaluable contribution to the organization of new numbers and gave a start in life to many artists of the spoken genre.
1970-72 - Director of "Rosconcert".

A bright, colorful, charismatic actor. He lived a short but professional life. Has played in 9 film projects.
In 1956 he starred in the film Carnival Night for the first time.
