Step 1
Prepare for the elections in advance. Study the candidate's electoral program carefully. Make a conscious decision. Don't be guided by the opinions of friends, colleagues and TV ads - cast your vote for the candidate you really want to see as the country's president.
Step 2
Find out the address of your polling station. Shortly before the election date, an invitation should come to your mailing address. If you have not received it, check the necessary information on the official website of the Central Election Commission https://www.cikrf.ru/. Here you can find the addresses of plots in all settlements of Russia.
Step 3
Come to your polling station on election day. All sections are open from 8 am to 8 pm. In the room where the voting will take place, find a sign with your address. Go to the table of the election commission and wait for your turn.
Step 4
Show your passport to the commission employee. Your details will be verified against the voter list. If everything is in order, you will be given a ballot paper. Sign in the proposed list. If this is your first time voting, you will be given a souvenir from the electoral commission - usually a pen with a commemorative inscription.
Step 5
With the issued ballot, go to the closed voting booth. Here you can familiarize yourself with the list of candidates and for the last time make sure of the correctness of your own choice. Mark your candidate by putting a checkmark, cross or other sign in a special empty box opposite the surname.
Step 6
Do not mark multiple candidates or write anything on the ballot. Such papers will be considered invalid. For the same reason, you should not take the issued ballot with you. Keep in mind that only correctly completed sheets can be counted.
Step 7
If you don't want anyone to know about your choice, fold the sheet in half. Exit the voting booth and drop the ballot into the ballot box. The voting procedure can be considered complete.
