The childhood and teenage years of the future famous artist were very eventful. Her father served in the army, was a colonel. It was he who taught his daughter to handle various types of weapons, including even bazookas. The girl grew up very athletic and strong in spirit, she was attracted by the army. Therefore, at the age of 16, Lena went to serve in the Norwegian Guard.
However, not only such a "masculine" theme was present in Lena's life. As a child, she studied in a folklore studio, attended vocal courses. Music and singing aroused in her the same interest as the ability to handle firearms. Additionally, she was educated at the school of guides (Mallorca), studied at the courses of bodyguards. Before purposefully connecting her life with art and creativity, Lena Nyström managed to try herself as a jeweler, model, bartender.
Her career as a music artist began in 1996. Then Lena, according to the results of the competition, was able to get a place in the Wheel of Fortune. On this site, she was noticed by the then popular Scandinavian DJ Rene Dif. At a meeting with Lena Dif told her that he and two of his good acquaintances - Klaus Norren and Soren Rasted - had recently started creating a musical project for which a vocalist with an interesting manner of performance and a bright appearance is very much needed. At that time, the group was called Joyspeed. Lena did not refuse the offer to pass the conditional audition, as a result she took the place of the vocalist in Joyspeed. However, the first single of the newly-made group failed and did not gain popularity even in the Scandinavian countries.
The assembled team did not disintegrate after an unsuccessful start. The guys broke the contract with the studio, changed the name, general concept and style. As a result, they adopted the name Aqua. In the same 1996, their first song was released, which, unlike the single Joyspeed, immediately took off in the charts. The young team received the attention of the public and the press.
Lena Nyström has released three albums with Aqua. Then the group paused its activities. Lena took up a solo career in film and music.
Solo projects
In 2003, Lena Nyström released her debut solo album, Play With Me. Before its release, I saw the video for the song It’s Your Duty, which was released as a single. Unlike the video and the single, the album did not arouse much interest among the fans of the artist's work. He received minimal popularity in Scandinavia, and went unnoticed in Europe and the West.
Having abandoned her solo musical career, Lena Nyström turned her attention to cinema. Here her business went more successfully. By 2017, Lena managed to star in 23 films and TV series. Among them are such paintings as "Darwin's Mission", "Black Sheep", "Cold Hearts", "Good for those who are already dead."
Along with working in films and serials, Lena decided to try herself as a songwriter and composer.

Personal life
In 2001 - August 25 - the wedding of Lena Nyström and Soren Rasteda took place. The couple has not broken up to this day.
On November 6, 2004, Lena and her husband had a joyful event - they had a daughter, who was named India. On February 15, 2006, a second child appeared in this family - a boy named Billy.
