Pierce Anthony is an American science fiction writer. His works belong to the genres of fantasy and science fiction. The most famous essay was the Xanthus series, in which there are more than 40 books. In total, over a hundred of the author's works have been published.

At the same time, the debut science fiction novel "Chthon" was released. The story takes place on a prison planet with chamber caves. Readers associate the plot with the heroes passing through all the circles of hell. In 1975 there was a sequel called "Fluoride".
The writer has created many interesting novels. All of them were distinguished by unconventional plots, innovation and bold hypotheses. In the new essay "Macroscope", published in 1969, the science fiction writer expressed paradoxical assumptions regarding several scientific fields. For example, he suggested using Neptune as a huge starship.
As a tough solution to the problem of overpopulation of the Earth and an example of the inadmissibility of war, the author outlined in the novel "Triple Detant" ("Alien Power") the enslavement of people by aliens and, as a result, a sharp decrease in numbers after an unexpected invasion.
The 1971 essay "The Dentist That Needs" satirically outlines the incredible adventures and fun travels of the space dentist. The protagonist of the humorous work "Dead Number" became a participant in a real estate scam on Mars. For young people, the author wrote science fiction novels "Baluk", "Races Against Time" and "The Telepathic Worm".
The book cycles brought fame to the author. The series were united by a common hero or a place of development of events. In total, the writer created about 13 such cycles. Some have just a couple of novels, others have an impressive number of volumes.

Released in 1999, the next work of the cycle "Magic Corridor" tells about the mysterious disappearance of the Witch-king Trent. Together with his wife, the sorceress Iris, the ruler went to the neighboring country of Ordinary for negotiations. During his absence, Prince Dor rules. However, at the appointed time, the king and queen did not return home. Troubled times may begin in Xanthus.
With Princess Irene, Dor decides to save the ruler. But wanting to get into the Ordinary and being able to get there are two different things. Only the wisdom of the centaurs can save the wizard.
Family and creativity
Some of Peirce's works were co-authored by the writer. Thus, 1989's Through the Ice is based on an unfinished manuscript sent to the author by one of his admirers, Robert Cornwise.
Since 1970 Anthony has worked with Roberto Fuentes. It was the co-author who gave Pierce the idea of heroes with different belts and fantastic martial arts skills. As a result, Roberto switched to literary activity, and Pierce became seriously interested in judo. The series they created has become very popular.
The writer's chosen one was his classmate Carol Ann Mable. After completing their studies in 1956, former classmates became husband and wife. The family had two children, daughters Cheryl and Penny. Penelope pleased her father with her granddaughter Logan.
