Mira Grigorievna Todorovskaya was born on July 30, 1939 in an intelligent family. Parents at that time lived in Chisinau. The girl was properly prepared for an independent life. After the Victory, returning to her native land, Mira went to school. She was a smart kid. She was easily given mathematics and other exact sciences. At the same time, the girl loved literature and singing lessons. After the tenth grade, Mira entered the Odessa Institute of Marine Engineers. She did not miss lectures and seminars, and still managed to study in a student vocal and instrumental ensemble. Once, at a rehearsal, she was noticed by the famous film director Pyotr Todorovsky. As the bardic song says, he saw her and died.
Family creativity
In 1961, a modest wedding took place, and Mira received the surname Todorovskaya.
Having received a diploma of higher technical education, she did not go to work in her specialty. For two reasons. First, the couple had a son. Secondly, to help her husband, she began writing scripts for popular science films and became interested in this work. Then began everyday life, which is not much different for people who are constantly busy with their own business. The wife cooked porridge for the director. Washed linen and ironed shirts on special occasions and holidays.
In the philistine environment, there is an opinion that actors and directors receive huge fees. In fact, these are fantasies, far from reality. The Todorovskys did not live poorly, but there was no opportunity to show off. According to the rules in force in Soviet times, all proceeds from the rental of films were transferred to the state budget. Over time, Pyotr Todorovsky took an honorable place in the list of luminaries of Soviet cinema. However, the censorship restrictions did not soften from this.
Producer activity
In 1989, Pyotr Efimovich shot his next film about love called "Intergirl". Mira Grigorievna, one of the first in Soviet cinema, became the producer of this project. Her main merit is that she found money to shoot.
Three years later, the wife created her own production center called Mirabelle. Since 1992, Mira has been producing Todorovsky's projects. After the death of her husband in 2013, the center continued its activities in order to realize the unfinished plans of Peter Efimovich.
