Historically, it so happened that poets in Russia were loved and pitied. And life for them at all times was not very sweet. Nikolai Rubtsov managed to contribute to the development of his native culture. He faced severe trials, which cannot be written in verse.
Childhood
The generation of Soviet people born in the 30s of the last century had to endure trials, the severity of which leaves a mark throughout their subsequent life. Large-scale historical events inspired poets and writers and, at the same time, limited their stay in this world. Nikolai Mikhailovich Rubtsov was born on January 3, 1936 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents at that time lived in the village of Yemetsk, Arkhangelsk region. My father worked as a procurer in a local consumer cooperative. The mother was engaged in housekeeping and raising children, of whom there were six in the house.
A few weeks before the start of the war, the Rubtsov family moved to Vologda. Here my father was offered a good job at the timber industry enterprise. But in June 1941, all plans changed. The head of the family was drafted into the army and sent to the front. In the spring of the following year, her mother fell seriously ill and died. After a while, the elder sister died, and there was no one to take care of the children. The children were assigned to boarding schools and orphanages. Six-year-old Kolya ended up in an orphanage in the village of Nikolskoye, Vologda Oblast. Here he lived until 1950 and graduated from a seven-year school.
Labor youth
Rubtsov wrote his first poetic lines during his school years. The harsh everyday life of the state institution and the lack of simple human relations prompted the boy to be creative. After leaving school, Nikolai entered the local forestry technical school. However, his studies did not work out, and he left for Arkhangelsk, where he tried to go to work as a sailor in the trawl fleet. But the work of the stoker turned out to be too hard for him. On the advice of his comrades, Nikolai went to Leningrad and got a job as a mechanic at a shipyard. At the end of 1955, Rubtsov was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces and assigned to the Northern Fleet as his place of service.
On the voyages not on board the Ostry destroyer, Nikolai continues to be creative. The first poems of Rubtsov were published on the pages of the large-circulation newspaper "On guard of the Arctic". After demobilization, the senior sailor returned to Leningrad and began working as a mechanic at the Kirov factory. In his spare time, as a rule, in the evenings, he attended classes at the literary association "Narvskaya Zastava". Here he communicated with young writers like him. A few years later, Nikolai prepared and entered the Literary Institute.
Creative way
In 1964, the magazine "October" published the first collection of Rubtsov's poems. The poet took the first step in the profession. In 1968 he was accepted from the Writers' Union, and a year later Nikolai graduated from the institute and received a diploma. In total, during the life of the poet, five collections of poems were published.
The poet's personal life practically did not work out. In 1970, while living in Vologda, he met the young poet Lyudmila Derbina. A relationship arose between them. The young people decided to get married, but it did not come to a wedding. In January 1971, Nikolai Rubtsov died tragically as a result of a domestic quarrel.
