Biography

Zotov was born in Moscow in 1971. He received a higher education in history with a degree in biblical studies. Due to circumstances, Georgy, instead of studying the events of past years, began to write first books about the present, and then about the future.

Zotov is a professional journalist, director of the department for foreign interviews and investigations in the newspaper Argumenty i Fakty. He is a versatile person, speaks English and Serbian, knows a little Arabic, is fascinated by the history of the ancient world and the Arab Caliphate.

One of his hobbies is reading sacred books and classical literature, he also collects books on the history of different countries.

Little is known about Zotov's family and personal life; the science fiction writer rarely agrees to interviews and avoids publicity. The press has not yet been able to find out if the author has a wife and a child.

Creation

Zotov's official writing debut was the book The Element of Blood. It was written between 2004 and 2005. Moreover, the author's idea of the plot matured much earlier.

Perhaps the plan would have remained unfulfilled if Zotov had not shared the plot with the director of the publishing house, with whom he had been in contact for a long time. The friend liked the idea, and he convinced the aspiring writer to bring the matter to the end.

After the first success, the author decided to further develop the chosen topic. He ended up writing a series of books called Hell and Heaven. The cycle was presented in three parts.

Due to the secrecy of the author, various rumors and speculation began to arise around his person, which as a result only made Zotov additional advertising.

According to one version, the comedian Pavel Volya was hiding under the pseudonym "Georgy Zotov", according to another - Sergei Lukyanenko. There was also an assumption that Zotov is a project that a group of writers is working on.

Since 2008, the author has been working on the creation of the End of the World series of works. It includes three books that brought the writer real popularity.
