Foreigners or stateless persons who wish to obtain a residence permit must first obtain a temporary residence permit in Russia. How to do this without delays and special problems is not an easy task.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, carefully read the Law "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation" (No. 115-FZ of July 25, 2002). It is to him that officials refer in their activities related to the issuance of a temporary residence permit.
Step 2
Contact the Department of Registration of Temporary and Permanent Residence Permits (OORViPP). It is this organization that deals with the issues of interest to you.
Step 3
Remember that some categories of people can easily obtain a temporary residence permit in Russia. These are: persons born on the territory of the RSFSR and on the territory of the Russian Federation, disabled parents of capable citizens of Russia and children of disabled citizens of Russia, "second halves" of citizens of the Russian Federation, and so on. Full lists can be found on any regional website of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation.
Step 4
Before you apply for being allowed to temporarily reside in our country, check that you have collected all the documents. If you have not submitted a complete package of documents, or any of them have not been correctly completed, your application will not be accepted. Remember the movie "Intergirl". Unfortunately, in our time, due to the lack of one reference, you can waste a lot of time. You can also download a complete list of required documents from the Internet or rewrite at the FMS department.
Step 5
Please note: if you have one surname, and your relatives (citizens of Russia) have a different one, you must prove your relationship.
Step 6
Another nuance: if you attach documents drawn up in a foreign language to your application, do not forget to also attach a notarized translation into Russian.
Step 7
And the last thing: having received a temporary residence permit in Russia, do not forget to familiarize yourself with our laws. After all, if you violate them, you can instantly be deprived of this hard-won permission.
