Michael Malarkey is an American theater, film and television actor and singer. He became widely known after playing the role of Enzo St. John in the project "The Vampire Diaries".

Michael was born in the summer of 1983 in Lebanon. His paternal ancestors are of Irish, German and American descent. And on the mother's side - Arabic and Italian-Maltese, but she herself was born in England. Michael has 2 younger brothers, one of whom, Kevin, also became an actor.
After living for several years in Beirut, the family moved to America and settled in Yellow Springs.
In 2006, Malarkey went to London to begin his studies at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Having received a professional acting education, the young man worked for some time at the Silver Lining Entertainment studio, and then at Hatton Mcewan Penford.
Later he began performing on the stage in London. He has played many roles in classical and contemporary plays. He played Jack Gatsby in The Great Gatsby, Elvis Presley in The Million Dollar Quartet, Spring Storm and Beyond The Horizon.
After living for several years in England, Michael became a full member of the country. He now has dual US and British citizenship.
Michael has been passionate about music since childhood. He studied at a music school, took vocal and guitar lessons. For 5 years he performed in his own group Shadysied, where he was a soloist, and traveled with musicians to many cities and countries.
Currently, in addition to working in films, television and theater, the actor successfully tours the world with his concerts. In 2020 he will visit Russia. He will perform in Moscow and St. Petersburg in February, where he will present his solo program.
Film career
For the first time Malarkey tried his hand at cinema in the project "Foundation for Life". The role was so insignificant that he was not indicated in the credits.
In 2008, he took part in the filming of the drama series "Abrasion", which did not receive wide recognition. However, the actor's work received good reviews and ratings from film critics. A year later, he starred in the fantastic melodrama "Selection" in the role of Prince Maxson.
In 2012, the actor was offered one of the roles in the drama series The Vampire Diaries. Michael successfully passed the selection and entered the cast of the project, getting the role of the vampire Enzo. A successful debut in 2013 gave Malarkey the opportunity to land a regular role on the series.
Another significant work in the career of an actor was the fantastic series The Blue Book Project, produced by the famous Robert Zemeckis. He was cast in the lead role of US Air Force Captain Martin Queen, who, along with astronomer Allen Hyneck, is investigating unidentified flying objects in the skies over America on orders from the government and the Air Force. The film is based on real events that took place in the United States during the height of the Cold War, starting in 1952.
The first season of the project was released in February 2019 and received high ratings. In 2020, the second season of the series will appear on the screens, where Michael will once again appear before the audience in the form of Queen.
Personal life
In June 2009, a significant event took place in the life of Michael. He became the husband of actress Nadine Levington. In the fall of 2014, the couple had a son, whom their parents named Marlon.
