The fate of this actor is closely linked with the history of his native country. Nikolai Mikheev not only went on stage or set. He is a participant in the Great Patriotic War. He had to endure many trials and hardships.
Childhood and youth
Fate plays with a man. It is appropriate to recall these winged words from a sentimental romance when it comes to the generation of people who survived the war. According to all the signs and forecasts, Nikolai Aleksandrovich Mikheev was prepared for the military profession. However, events unfolded in a different direction. The future People's Artist of the Soviet Union was born on February 12, 1923 in the family of a military man. At that time, my father was serving in the famous city of Samarkand. Once upon a time, the phalanxes of Alexander the Great passed here, sparkling with bronze shields.
From an early age, the boy was interested in the history of his small homeland. I read all the historical books about that time that I found in the library. But quite unexpectedly, an order came, and the head of the family was transferred to a new place of service in the city of Irkutsk, located on the banks of the beautiful Angara River. Here Nikolai graduated from high school and decided to get an education at the history faculty of Irkutsk University. I entered the university the first time. In 1942 the students were drafted into the ranks of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army.
Professional activity
After the end of the war, Mikheev ended up in the city of Saratov. His plans changed, and the demobilized fighter entered the studio at the local Theater of the Young Spectator. In 1948, after completing his studies, Nikolai begins to play his small but dramatic roles in the Youth Theater. The actor spent more than ten years within these walls. He played the main and leading roles in all repertoire performances. Colleagues noted that the actor's character was, to put it mildly, complex and quarrelsome. In 1958 Mikheev went to Siberia and joined the troupe of the Tomsk Drama Theater.
Mikheev's acting career was going well. He worked hard and reliably. In 1970 he was invited to the Academic Drama Theater of the city of Kuibyshev. Six years later, for playing a role in the play "The Golden Carriage" and other productions, Nikolai Alexandrovich was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of the RSFSR". The talented actor has acted in films. After the film "Eternal Call" Mikheev was recognized by the whole country. This was followed by roles in the films "TASS is authorized to declare", "Twenty days without war", "Autumn matinees".
Recognition and privacy
In 1985, for his great contribution to the development of cinema, Mikheev was awarded the title "People's Artist of the USSR". Nikolai Alexandrovich willingly shared his experience with novice actors. Conducted seminars and workshops at GITIS.
The actor's personal life did not develop immediately. He was married twice. In the second marriage, the husband and wife raised a son and daughter. Nikolai Mikheev passed away in September 1993.
