In the town of Eschweg, which is located in the administrative district of Kassel in Germany, on February 3, 1975, a boy was born, who was named Markus Schultz. The future world famous DJ was born into a military family. Markus did not want to follow in his father's footsteps and from a young age became very interested in music.
Biography of Markus Schultz: early years
Despite the fact that Marcus was born in Germany, he only lived in his hometown as a child. When the boy was 13 years old, the whole family moved to the United States. There they settled in a small town called Phoenix, which is located in Arizona.
While studying in high school, Marcus became increasingly interested in music. Especially attracted by his electronic compositions. He begins to independently study this area of the arts and quickly learns one of the popular electronic directions. In view of this, Markus "acquires" new acquaintances and becomes a member of several dance groups.
One of the parties that he arranged for himself and his friends became fateful for Markus Schultz. It so happened that the people who were supposed to be responsible for the musical accompaniment of the event let Marcus down. The young man had no choice but to independently stand at the console and take on the role of a DJ at the party. From that moment on, he no longer doubted that his future would be associated exclusively with electronic music. Later, Marcus chose trance and progressive trance as the main directions for himself.
Marcus's show business career begins to develop rapidly as soon as he finishes school. Already at such a young age, Schultz begins to play at various events, he is invited to perform in local nightclubs. And gradually the young DJ becomes the star of Phoenix.
Musical career development
Having established himself on the Phoenix DJ scene, Markus Schultz decides to try himself as a producer at the same time. And he does it with some success. In addition, at one point, Marcus receives an offer to start working on radio, which he willingly accepts. A little later, the DJ launches his own electronic music show, which he calls "Global DJ Broadcast". Within the framework of this radio show, Markus not only puts on his compositions, he also from time to time invites famous DJs to visit him.
As soon as the European record companies paid attention to Markus Schultz, the young man moved to England, to London. The artist creates his first studio directly in this city.
The DJ's first LP was titled "Without You Near". It was released in 2005 and instantly earned love and recognition from the public and music critics. In support of the album, several singles were released, at the same time Markus Schultz becomes a regular participant in festivals taking place in Ibiza.
The next disc was released in 2007. A year later, Schultz's third album, entitled "Progression Progressed", was released. This disc contains mainly remixes of tracks previously written by the DJ.
In 2010, a new disc was released. A little later, a film was shot - "Do You Dream? World Tour". The title of the film was consonant with the title of the album, as part of this film, fans were able to watch how Markus Schultz lives off stage, how his performances take place around the world, and so on.
In parallel with his solo activities, the DJ is promoting a project called Dakota.
In the following years, Markus Schultz has released a number of successful albums, the last of which - "The Nine Skies" - was released in 2017 and is the result of work in the Dakota collective. In total, the performer has 6 full-fledged solo studio editions, 4 discs with remixes and 4 albums published as part of the Dakota project.
Family and personal life of a DJ
Markus Schultz has a wife named Heather. She actively helps her husband in his work, although she does not mix music. Heather is in negotiations, is the official representative of the DJ.
The couple have one child - a son named Alex. The boy is already very much passionate about music, knows how to play some instruments and, like his father, dreams of connecting his life with creativity.
