Without Valery Kipelov, it is impossible even to imagine Russian rock. The vocalist and singer-songwriter won millions of fans while working in the "Aria" group. It was the original performance of the soloist that brought glory to the collective. And thanks to its charisma and deep lyrics, the Kipelov project also gained popularity.
Valery Alexandrovich did not show much interest in music as a child, although he studied at a music school. And my father dreamed of raising not a musician, but an athlete, hockey player or football player.
The path to the vocation
The biography of the future celebrity began in 1958. The boy was born in Moscow on July 23. Parents who saw the child's talent sent their son to a music school. Valery learned to play the button accordion. Gradually, the classes carried him away.
In 1972, together with the Peasant Children group, the guy sang at his sister's wedding. The debutant's abilities amazed the professionals so much that Kipelov became a member of the team. The graduate received his education at the Telemechanics and Automation College. In 1978 he went to serve in the army, but did not leave music, he performed with an army ensemble.
On a professional level, his career began after returning home. Valery sang in the group "Six Young". At the beginning of autumn 1980, the collective entered the ensemble "Leisya, song", but in 1985 the team broke up. Work began at Singing Hearts. Soon a heavy metal project "Aria" appeared.
Success
The popularity of the new group grew rapidly, and in many respects the success was accompanied by the unforgettable voice of the soloist. The musician was also the author of rock ballads. The singer made the decision to pursue a solo career after the release of the Chimera album. The last time, together with his colleagues, Kipelov spoke at the end of the summer of 2002.
In September, a new project "Kipelov" appeared with a large tour "Way Up". In 2004 the team was named the best rock band in the country and was presented with the MTV award. The solo collection "Rivers of Times" was released the following year. In 2011, the musician presented the album "Live in spite of". The concert in 2012 was named the best of the year according to the Chartova Dozen.
The disc "Reflection" was released in April 2013. The composition "I am free" became his best song.
Family and career
The musician does not stop working, he writes new songs and tours. In 2017, he conducted a tour of Russian cities. In October 2018, a performance took place at the anniversary concert of the Mavrin group. Solo artist sang "Hero of Asphalt" and "Castlevania". Together with other vocalists, he performed “Give me your hand” in the final. In February 2019, a new clip from the collection "Thirst for the Impossible" is presented.
Valery Alexandrovich's personal life was also successful. In 1978 Galina became his wife. The first child, daughter Jeanne, appeared in the family in 1980. A son, Alexander, was born 9 years later. Both have chosen a future associated with music. Zhanna became a conductor, Sasha graduated from the Gnessin School in cello and the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The musician is twice a grandfather.
Kipelov also has time for hobbies. He plays football and billiards, is engaged in motorcycles, loves to read. The vocalist also took part in writing the anthem for the Spartak club. The author and performer cannot imagine their leisure time without the work of legendary foreign rock colleagues. He also likes to listen to the works of contemporary authors of this genre.
