Family, early years
Mikhail Semyonovich was born on December 11, 1929. The family lived in Kiev. Mikhail's parents were Jewish by nationality. Father worked as a worker, mother was a teacher in an orphanage. The boy's grandfather ran a grocery store before the revolution. During the war, the family lived in Tashkent.
As a child, Misha showed a sense of humor and acting talent, he often made his classmates laugh. After the 8th grade, Svetin was expelled from school for hooliganism. Creative career

In the mid-60s, Mikhail Semyonovich got into the theater of musical comedy in Kiev, and after 6 years he began to work at the Maly Drama Theater of Leningrad. In 1980, Pyotr Fomenko, artistic director of the comedy theater, invited the actor to join the troupe. In 1974, Svetin played in the films "No fluff, no feather", "Agony". But the actor became famous after a cameo role in the movie "Afonya". The wife of Mikhail Semyonovich was Proskurina Bronislava, an actress. They met in Kamyshin, and got married in 1959. Bronislav is 12 years younger than Mikhail. The family was friendly, the marriage lasted 57 years.
The Svetyns have a daughter, Svetlana, now she lives in the USA. She has 2 daughters - Alexandra, Anna, both have creative abilities. Anna graduated from the art academy, Alexandra plays in performances, musicals.
