Few of the audience can remember the name of the actor Vyacheslav Tsarev. But everyone knows his phrase: "Why are you doing here, huh?". In Elem Klimov's film "Welcome, or No Unauthorized Entry" of an absurd but charming boy with a butterfly net was brilliantly played by a young artist.
Work in comedy films brought Vyacheslav Valentinovich all-Union glory. However, it was this vivid role that remained the brightest in the actor's film portfolio.

The biography of the future celebrity began in 1951. The boy was born in the village of Troitse-Golenishchevo near Moscow in a working class family. The kid grew up mischievous and lively. Director Elem Klimov drew attention to the thirteen-year-old hooligan, who was traveling with friends without a ticket in the tram. He immediately realized that the boy fits perfectly into his new film.
Slava was invited to audition. The applicant felt uncomfortable, but sang the song perfectly, read the poem and was approved for the role. The shooting took place near Tuapse.
The funny lop-eared character gained extraordinary popularity, and the question that sounded from the screen turned into a catch phrase. Two years later, Slava was on the set again. This time he received an invitation from Andrei Tarkovsky.
In the film "Andrei Rublev", the hero of the young artist is the assistant of the foundry workers Andreika. Despite the master's exactingness, Tsarev liked working with him very much. As a schoolboy, Slava starred in episodes of two films.

The last film work was the musical New Year's film 1969 "At the thirteenth hour of the night." The graduate did not think about a professional artistic career. He did not come to study at VGIK, despite invitations, and served in the navy for three years.
Tsarev, who returned home, was not invited to the cinema. He worked as a janitor, watchman, and ice cream seller.

The last years of his life, the artist lived in Butovo. He helped homeless animals, took care of people in trouble. In the memory of many, he remained a man with an infinitely kind soul. The artist passed away in 2006, on June 28.
