The biography of the future writer began in 1897. He was born on August 2 in Nizhny Novgorod. In a military family, Boris was the youngest child. The elder brother Nikolai was born a year earlier.

From August 1906, the boy studied at the noble institute of Emperor Alexander II, one of the best educational institutions in the city. In addition to the compulsory disciplines, schoolchildren were taught gymnastics, dance and music. In 1915 Boris graduated from the course with a silver medal.

The graduate decided to receive further education at the Imperial University of Moscow. He chose the Faculty of Law. After the first year, the student was drafted to the front. In early 1917 he became a combat non-commissioned officer. In February, Abramov became a midshipman and went to the Abo-Aland fortification as a senior officer. From the spring of 1918, he commanded a separate artillery battalion of the Primorsky Fleet. Since the garrison did not take part in the hostilities, most of it was evacuated to the mainland by the beginning of 1918.

In April, the officer left military service and returned to his studies. But the civil war prevented him from continuing his studies. In the summer of 1918, Boris Nikolaevich returned to military service. The troops were constantly reformed. Abramov told about this in his biography. From September 1, 1918 to March 1, 1919, he served in the ground forces. Until June 1, he remained a junior officer of a floating battery. With a division of naval riflemen, the officer was sent to Barnaul.

Finding a destination

For two years, he worked as a laboratory assistant at a plant in Harbin. Until November 1, 1931 he worked in the laboratory. The scientific article of his authorship "Determination of the moisture content of beans" was published in the collection "Simplified methods for the study of beans and some products of their processing" in 1928.

The writer settled his personal life in January 1929. He and Nina Shakhrai became husband and wife. In 1934, in Harbin, an acquaintance with N. K. Roerich. He became a spiritual mentor for Abramov, passed on the Ring of Discipleship to the follower of the Living Ethics teaching. When Roerich left for India, Boris Nikolaevich corresponded with him.

From February 1940 to 1946, the writer served as a secretary at the college, until March 1949 he was a laboratory assistant in a chemical laboratory. For a decade, Abramov worked at the Harbin Polytechnic Institute, took part in the compilation of Russian language textbooks for students.

The questions of the meaning of life and the search for his place in it occupied Boris Nikolaevich from his youth. The basis of Abramov's creativity was the philosophy of Roerich. In the forties, the records sent to Helena Roerich were published under the title "The Facets of Agni Yoga".

Agni Yoga Teaching

Since 1934, the Russian Committee of the Roerich Pact for the Protection of Cultural Property operated in Harbin. Boris Nikolaevich also entered it. According to the organization, culture consisted of art, science and religion. On the advice of the Roerichs, the Abramovs returned home in 1959. They settled in the town of Venev. Many times he was visited by disciples in need of spiritual communication from other cities of the country.
