The film "Dictator" and critics and viewers attributed to the category of political trolling. The film by Larry Charles shows the collective image of the great dictator who plays democracy, oppressing the people in his country. His name is Admiral-General Aladin. According to the plot, it turns out that for several decades he has been ruling a certain North African state of Wadia, which in reality does not exist.

In the image of a dictator, everything is absurd, from the heaps of titles invented by him personally, to armfuls of order ribbons and medals, which he awarded himself. Every day he comes up with stupid laws that defy the logical explanation of any sane person. As a result, the viewer receives a film product shot in the genre that is currently topical and caustic, in places of harsh political satire.

Admiral-General Aladin goes to the United States to deliver his speech to the UN, however, before that he loses his most important trump card - a beard, without which he, in fact, is not a great supreme ruler, but a simple tourist of Arab appearance. Unhealthy ambitions, selfishness and all the same inexorable arrogance give it an unusual character. Risking his life, he will have to regain his "good" name.

The creators of "The Dictator" have worked hard to spice up the idea of ridiculing the infantilism of the head of an abstract state with vulgar spices. The film seems to scream that everything in it will be turned inside out and put up for public review. Moreover, not only politicians, but also show business and Hollywood actors, men and women, regardless of skin color, race and religion, will “get it”. This is the idea of the authors - with the help of jokes (often vulgar), sarcasm, satire and vulgarity to show the reality, which, like the film itself, makes you cry and laugh.

The Dictator was banned from showing in many countries around the world.
