Maeve Ann Quinlen was born on November 16, 1964. Her hometown is Chicago, Illinois.

As a teenager, Maeve began to actively play tennis, where she showed good success and even participated in world tournaments. She was able to take the 95th place in the world ranking of young athletes, which helped the girl get a scholarship to study at Southern California and Northwestern universities. There she studied acting and first got on television in 1993. She got the role of Batsy Kensington in the long-running soap opera General Hospital. In 1995, the actress began playing the role of Megan Conley in the television series Daring and Beautiful, where she continued to act until 2006.

In 2005, Maeve Quinlen was cast for one of the main roles in the television series "South of the Unknown" ("South of Nowhere"), thanks to which the actress became more famous. In this series, Maeve played Paula Carlin, a mother of three. South of the Unknown has been nominated twice for Best Drama Series at the GLAAD Media Awards.
