Starting conditions

Ksenia Anestovna Georgiadi was born on June 1, 1949 in a large Soviet family. The ancestors of the famous singer fled Greece at the beginning of the twentieth century, fleeing the genocide of the Turkish invaders. At the time of the child's birth, the parents lived in the resort town of Gudauta. My father worked at a building materials factory. The mother was engaged in housekeeping and raising children.
A few weeks after the birth of the girl, the Georgiadi family was deported to Kazakhstan. Only ten years later did they return to their homes. Already at an early age, Ksenia demonstrated acting skills. She easily memorized songs that sounded on the radio and sang them to her family and friends. Relatives and neighbors predicted her acting career. However, the parents believed that only fallen women became singers and actresses. After graduating from school, the girl with great difficulty persuaded her mother and father to let her go to study in Moscow.
Musical career
In 1968, Ksenia came to the capital to get a specialized education at the All-Union Creative Workshop of Variety Art. The girl's vocal data impressed the members of the selection committee. Georgiadi studied and performed as a soloist with various vocal and instrumental ensembles. She completed an internship at the Omsk Regional Philharmonic Society and in other cities. After completing her studies, the certified singer worked for several years in the ensemble "Fantasy" at the Moscow Regional Philharmonic. In 1978 she won first place at the All-Union television competition "With a song through life."
This victory opened the way for the singer to the big stage. The stage career developed progressively, without accidental ups and downs. With the ensemble "True Friends", in which Ksenia was accepted as a soloist, she traveled all over the Soviet Union. She has performed at foreign venues many times. In the early 90s, she left for the homeland of her ancestors in Greece. But five years later she returned to Moscow. Here she was remembered and accepted into their circle. Georgiadi began to collaborate with both well-known authors and new ones. Several songs for Ksenia were written by Elena Surzhikova.
Recognition and privacy
