Episode summary

In total, the series has 24 episodes, which can be conditionally divided into two parts. The duration of one episode is approximately 50 minutes. In the first part, the action takes place in the 1970s. The main character, a girl named Vera, moved from the provinces to Moscow. A simple girl who works in a factory and lives in a hostel falls in love with a young man from a very wealthy family named Vadim. He also loves her, although his family is strongly against their relationship. Young people get married, Vera becomes pregnant, but Vadim's mother is making every effort to separate them. In the end, she succeeds.

The series is based on the novel of the same name by Elena Kharkova, which became a bestseller after the release of the series.

The whole plot of the second part is focused on the daughter of Vera and Vadim, Rita. She becomes the main character of the series starting from episode 14. Rita's story develops in the 90s and it reflects the signs of that time. New motives appear in the series, such as crime and the war in Chechnya. However, there is still room for a love line between Rita and her childhood friend Zhenya.

Creation of the series "And yet I love"

The series was filmed in 2007 by the NTV-KINO company. The director was Sergei Ginzburg, winner of the TEFI award. He also played a supporting role in the series. The young, but already well-known actress Tatyana Arntgolts was invited for the role of Vera. Anna Bronislavovna, Vadim's mother, was superbly played by the famous actress Vera Alentova. In the series “And yet I love” Vera Alentova plays a character who broke the fate of the main character, and once, in the Oscar-winning film “Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears,” she herself played the role of such a girl from the provinces. Also roles in the series were performed by Anton Khabarov, Mikhail Zhigalov, Svetlana Ivanova and Shamil Khamatov.

For the role of Anna Bronislavovna Vera Alentova received the Tefi Prize in the nomination "Best Actress on Television".

The creators of the series paid a lot of attention to recreating the atmosphere of the 70s. It's hard to imagine how much effort it took for decorators and costume designers to recreate the spirit of the era with such precision. The contribution of the make-up artists is also important: after all, the action of the series stretches over decades, the characters change and the hard life leaves an imprint on their faces. The actors did not change - the make-up artists did an excellent job of aging the characters.

Dmitry Malikov became the composer of the series. He wrote touching and moving music that perfectly complements the plot.
