The biography of Andrei Ilyich Fursov largely repeats the biography of the generation of Soviet people born in the first decade after the Great Patriotic War. The child was born on May 16, 1951 in the family of a career soldier, who lived in the town of Shchelkovo near Moscow. From an early age, the parents prepared the boy for an independent life. He eagerly attended sports sections and circles of technical creativity. During his school years he played chess well. As expected, I went to school for seven years and in 1968 received a certificate of maturity.
I decided to continue my education at the Institute of Asian and African Countries at Moscow State University and easily passed the entrance exams. According to the tradition established by that time, a minimum of time and resources was devoted to the study of the civilization of the Asian East. Fursov chose the history of the Mongol Empire for his scientific work. During his student days, he became closely acquainted with leading experts in this area. In 1986 he defended his Ph. D. thesis, in which he revealed the fundamental problems of the agrarian complex of Asian countries.
The perestroika processes gaining momentum in the Soviet Union pushed the young scientist to change the direction of his career. Andrey Fursov decided to focus on studying the history of his native state. The chosen direction is closely intertwined with the problems of the struggle of the leading world powers for natural resources. The origins of the confrontation between East and West are hidden by the deepest layers of notions, fantasies and purposeful lies. To get to the truth requires not only perseverance and hard work, but also the appropriate preparation.
At the forefront of hybrid warfare
Scientist and publicist Andrei Fursov is familiar with the history of his country not only from the research of predecessors and archival documents. He was lucky, if such a definition is appropriate in this context, to see and survive the largest geopolitical catastrophe in the history of mankind. Perestroika, which was transformed into the collapse of the Soviet Union, exposed many social processes and phenomena hidden from contemplation. In a few years, love for the Motherland turned into a negative attitude towards everything Russian and Soviet.
Fursov presents and substantiates his vision of these reasons, which are hidden in the past. A historian and political scientist are invited to share their theories at the famous US universities - Columbia and Binghamton. While staying abroad, Andrei Ilyich learned how scientists live and what methods are used in the study of political processes. At home, he has to devote a lot of time and effort to administrative work. Fursov holds the post of director of the Research Institute for System-Strategic Analysis in Moscow. He regularly lectures in the capital and foreign educational institutions.
Ideological opponents often accuse him of conspiracy theories. However, the scientist builds and formulates all his logical constructions on the basis of available facts and current events. The personal life of a sought-after and respected publicist is stable and unshakable. The future husband and wife met during their student days. In 1979, a son was born in the family, who inherited his father's systematic approach and is engaged in historical science.
