The founders of rock music did not seek to monetize their creativity. They just played tunes outside the established genres. This trend originated in the UK. And it quickly established itself on Russian soil. Alexander Isaakovich Kushnir does not consider himself a performer musician. In terms of his outlook and occupation, he is a critic and producer. But the most important thing is the connoisseur and listener. Nature did not offend him with a subtle ear, but life circumstances did not allow him to receive a musical education.
The future producer was born on October 31, 1964 in an intelligent family. Parents lived in Kiev. My father was engaged in research at the Institute of Welding. Mother worked as a math teacher at school. The child grew up and was brought up at a time when the works of the "Liverpool Four" sounded all over the world. The recordings of the Beatles quartet reached the territory of the Soviet Union in various ways. Alexander listened to this music among his peers, and he really liked it. They gathered for the audition somewhere in the park or at the apartment.
Professional activity
After school, Kushnir entered the Faculty of Mathematics at Kalinin University. During his student days, Alexander often visited both Moscow and Leningrad, where Russian rock groups were already allowed to perform. After receiving his diploma, he worked as a teacher in a rural school for three years. In 1990 he made an attempt to collect the All-Union rock festival called "Turkey". By this time, he already regularly published his materials on musical events and trends on the pages of Moscow newspapers. In 1994, his first book, The Golden Underground. Within a short time, a huge number of musical groups appeared in the Russian open spaces. Kushnir provided information support to the groups "Mumiy Troll", "Guests from the Future", "Night Snipers". In 1999, an already experienced producer created the Kushnir Production music and information agency. The agency's catalog was updated almost every month. Foreign performers began to use the services of a Russian producer. Alexander regularly published materials about his "wards" musicians in newspapers and on television. He was always up to date and knew how the authors live and what they are working on.
Recognition and privacy
The work of the journalist was appreciated by colleagues in the shop. In 2004, Alexander, according to the expert community, was recognized as the best producer of the year. His books sold like hotcakes.
Little is known about Kushnir's personal life. The famous producer has been married twice. At the moment, he is in a relationship with a pleasant woman. Time will tell whether they will become husband and wife.
