The path to destination
He was born near Lake Toraigyr, in Bayan-Aul in 1914. The biography of the famous director began on February 2 (15) in a peasant family. All relatives were fond of creativity. My father was a talented performer and musician. He did not part with the dombra. Shaken inherited from his parent a love for music and folk songs.
Even the boy went to bed, not forgetting about the instrument. His first song, performed independently, was "Oh my homeland." The commune school was completed in 1928. From 1931 to 1931 the graduate was educated at the Pedagogical Institute of Semipalatinsk. Shaken's free time was occupied by amateur performances.
He played the mandolin, dombra, participated in the performances of the drama circle. Plays in it were staged mainly from aul life. Among them were "Arkelyk-batyr", "Baybinya-tokel", "Zaure". In Semipalatinsk there was an acquaintance with the professional artists of the drama theater of the republic.
The first performance with their participation was the production of "Karagoz". In 1993, when Shaken was in his third year, TRAM, the theater of working youth, came on tour. Aimanov's actors were involved in the performances. In the production of Zarlyk, he reincarnated as old man Safar. The play of the talented young man was noticed by the famous writer Gabit Musrepov. He offered Shaken to work in the theater of Almaty.
Since 1933, Shaken's biography has turned sharply. The sorrows and joys of a novice artist came to her. For the first time in the theater, Aymanov met many famous cultural figures. The artist played the most diverse roles. He was Yessen in Enlik-Kebek, Sadovsky in Aristocrats, Khlestakov in The Inspector General, Yegor in Amaneldy, Othello in Shakespeare's tragedy of the same name.
The starring role was a Shakespearean character. At the celebration of the four-century anniversary of the great playwright in England, Shaken Kenzhetayevich read the hero's monologue in Kazakh from the stage. The talented artist worked with famous theater suppliers Borov, Goldblag, Markova. Since 1945, Shaken himself also became a director. He has staged a dozen performances. Among them are the "Voice of America", "Kalinovaya Roscha".
Filmmaking
As early as 1940, Shaken began to work in the cinema. At first he played small roles. Was Sarsen in "Raikhan", front-line soldiers from "White Rose", became Sharip for "Songs of Abai", an evil, power-hungry and vengeful person, Dosanov, in the "Golden Horn". The most notable work was the character of Sharip and Jambul in 1954. However, as before, theatrical activity remained the main activity.
Over the decades, from a novice actor, Shaken has become a director and team leader. Since 1953, the brilliant career of theatrical artist was terminated. Shaken Kenzhetayevich completely switched to cinematography, inspired by the scale of the new art form. Aimanov staged the first Kazakh films, created films that became significant in the development of the republic's cinema.
He directed the tragic "Poem of Love", the dramatic "Daughter of the Steppes", the film essay "We Live Here", the stories "The Land of the Fathers", "The Angel in the Skullcap" and "In One District", the tragicomedy project "Aldar-kose". All-Union fame came with the painting "Our dear doctor". It was Aymanov who first used the “cameo” element.
From life he took the script "Angel in a skullcap". The idea came from a relative, Ainakul-apa, who was actively looking for a bride for her youngest son. One of the brightest was the most difficult role of Jambul. At the beginning of the picture, it is a young man in love. As the hero grows up, he turns into a mature man, and the picture ends with shots with a wise old man.
Even then, Shaken Kenzhetayevich received the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Republic. In early 1959 he became the People's Artist of the USSR.
All facets of talent
Nine paintings have been produced since the sixties. The director also starred in two of them. The most replacements were his works "The Crossroads", "At the Foot of Naizatas", "The Song Calls", the two-part film "The End of the Ataman". The half-century anniversary was marked by a screening of The Beardless Deceiver. Aimanov triumphantly acted as a co-author of the script, director, and leading actor.
Aldar-kose is not a hero's name. This is his characteristic. Aldar is a cunning man, a scythe is beardless. Did the hero who became a national hero ever live, what his real name was, it is unlikely that it will ever become known. But there are a lot of legends about the resourceful and simple Aldar-kos.
The picture "The End of the Ataman" is recognized as one of the best in the work of the director from the steppe. In it his talent was revealed most fully.
Often he used landscape photography to enhance the emotional component of his work. The scenes were filmed in the director's native Bayanaul district. Several specific films were shot about Bayan-Aul. Since 1963 Aimanov served as the first secretary of the board of the Union of Composers of the Republic.
The work of the outstanding figure was known abroad. Shaken Kenzhetayevich visited many countries, directed films of various genres. Almost nothing is known about the personal life of the master. In 1938 he fathered his first child, daughter Myra.
A year later, the director's son Murat appeared. Mayra became a famous opera singer, wife of Asanali Ashimov. Shaken Kenzhetayevich's granddaughter Dina Kim is a famous jazz performer.
The famous filmmaker passed away in 1970.
