Biography

In February 1964, the future rock musician Dmitry Alexandrovich Revyakin was born in the city of Novosibirsk. Dmitry spent his childhood in the Trans-Baikal Territory, in the small village of Pervomaisky. From an early age, Revyakin felt a great desire to study music and during his school years he learned to play the button accordion. After graduating from school, he returned to Novosibirsk and entered the Electrotechnical Institute.

While studying at the university, Dmitry began to write his first poems and created the Kalinov Most group. At the same time, he was engaged in a part-time job, acting as a DJ at student discos. Dmitry also recorded a couple of amateur solo albums, which he showed to his fellow students and acquaintances. The listeners really liked some of the songs, and this was the starting point for the creation of "Kalinova Bridge".

Career

The group that is known today throughout the CIS was created in 1986. In the same year, the debut album "Kalinov Most" was recorded. The first performances of the newly-made rock group took place within the walls of their own educational institution, later the popular in the 80s and early 90s "home" began. At one of these events, Revyakin met Konstantin Kinchev. The famous rocker liked the unusual sound and original lyrics, and he invited Kalinov Most to perform at the Leningrad rock club.

A little later, a performance took place at a festival in Moscow, the group was left without a prize because of the swear words used on the stage, but it was thanks to this that it became recognizable and popular. In 1988, Revyakin met Stas Namin, who offered to record new works in his studio. At the same time, "Kalinov Most" in full force left Novosibirsk and moved to the capital.

Despite the new prospects, the group's business began to decline. The creative crisis, the cancellation of concerts and problems with recordings put a lot of pressure on the band. Then a decision was made, which seemed the only right one - the musicians returned to their native Novosibirsk, where they continued to perform, and the group went to Moscow only to record new material.

Later the group almost broke up several times due to creative differences, but nevertheless "Kalinov Most" actively performs and presents new songs to the public to this day. The famous collective has hundreds of concerts throughout Russia and seventeen full-length albums. The release of the last work "Dauria" is scheduled for December 2018.
