Lassana Diarra is a defensive midfielder of African descent. His nickname is "Lass" or "Dia", an energetic black athlete who plays for French football club Paris Saint-Germain.
Biography
The future midfielder was born in the spring of 1985 in the capital of France, Paris. The Lassa family, as is often practiced in African families, moved to Paris from Mali. The footballer has dual citizenship of Mali and France.
Career
The midfielder began his football career in the youth teams "Nantes", "Le Mans" and "Red Star", but none of Lassan's clubs came in handy. The last chance to gain a foothold in football for the midfielder was a show in the Le Havre team, and Diarra took full advantage of this chance and signed a contract with the team.
Lassana had a successful season at Le Havre and attracted the attention of Chelsea scouts. In the summer of 2005, the midfielder signed a contract with the "aristocrats". In the camp of Londoners, Lassan did not work out, and the young man went to Assen Wenger in another London club, Arsenal. The voyage to the Gunners' camp was also extremely unsuccessful for the midfielder, for six months Diarra took part in only seven fights.
In winter 2008, Lassana moved to English Portsmouth, and immediately became a player in the first team. With his play at Portsmouth, the Frenchman attracted the attention of Real Madrid scouts. The beginning of 2009 was marked for the football player by the transfer to the camp of the famous "creamy". In the royal club, the midfielder spent more than a hundred matches and became the winner of the national championship, as well as the owner of the national cup.
In the fall of 2012, Lassana Diarra moved to Anji Makhachkala, a team that at that time was scattering money. But the midfielder did not last long in the Makhachkala team, Anji began selling their expensive players. Lassana Diarra joined the camp of Lokomotiv Moscow. As part of the "railroad", the footballer played only 17 matches, scored one effective hit. Leaving Lokomotiv was marked by a scandal - the midfielder refused to train with the team, skipped training camps and the management decided to terminate the contract with Diarra.
In the summer of 2015, Lassana Diarra returned to France, namely to Olympique Marseille. In the camp of the national team, the midfielder did not work out. Lassana Diarra is a participant of Euro 2008. The midfielder did not manage to play at the world championship due to health problems. In total, Lassana Diarra played 33 matches in the national team.
Personal life
Diarra is a Muslim who is very sensitive to his religion, and therefore his private life is closed from the general public. Nothing is known about his wife either. In 2015, his cousin was brutally murdered in the Paris attacks.
