In the largest, Far Eastern District, the interests of the federal level of power are represented by Yuri Trutnev, who was appointed to this position in 2013.

The future politician was born on March 1, 1956 in a family of Soviet oil workers. Parents at that time lived in the village of Polazna, which is located on the territory of the Perm Territory. My father worked at an oil production enterprise as the head of a transport section. Mother was engaged in accounting in the board of the same trust. From early childhood, Yuri knew the peculiarities of the profession of an oil worker and expressed a desire to follow in the footsteps of the head of the family. He studied well at school. He successfully combined study and active sports.

Professional activity

Having received a certificate of maturity, Trutnev decided to continue the family tradition and entered the mining department of the Perm Polytechnic Institute. Studying was easy for Yuri. He continued to engage in martial arts and to comprehend the wisdom of oil extraction and refining. Starting from the third year, student Trutnev began to receive an increased scholarship. Not surprisingly, after graduating from the institute, he was invited to an industry research institute to do scientific research. However, he liked to engage in social activities more, and Yuri went to work in the regional committee of the Komsomol.

When perestroika began in the country, Trutnev organized a cooperative and began supplying computers not only to the Perm region, but also to other regions of the country. Soon, the successful businessman was elected a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region. And in 1996 he took over as mayor of Perm. In 2000, Yuri Petrovich was elected governor of the Perm Territory. Four years later, he was invited to the Government of the Russian Federation, where he took the post of Minister of Natural Resources. Then Trutnev worked for several years in the Presidential Administration, and in 2013 he was appointed Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far East.

Hobbies and personal life

Since school age, Yuri Petrovich systematically went in for sports. Today he holds the fifth dan of Kyokushin karate. Since 2005 Trutnev has been a member of the Russian Union of Martial Arts. Plus, he was fond of car racing for many years and even participated in major competitions.

Today Trutnev is married to a third marriage. He has five children, three sons and two daughters.
