In the galaxy of performers of the author's song, the name of Alexander Dulov takes a worthy place. By his main profession, he was a chemical scientist. Studies in science did not prevent him from pursuing poetry and musical creativity.
Starting conditions
The future singer of the bard song was born on May 15, 1931 in a family of employees. Parents lived in Moscow. A tiny room in a communal apartment not far from Pushkinskaya Square became a launching pad for the future author-performer. The compassionate neighbor had a piano on which she allowed the child to play music.
The father left the family when the boy was only three years old. The mother had to raise the child alone. At school, Sasha studied only excellently. When the war began, he and his mother were evacuated to the Urals. Three years lived in harsh climatic and social conditions did not affect his sympathetic and gentle character. Returning to Moscow, he continued his studies at school. The guys from the neighboring yard showed him three guitar chords, and Dulov fell in love with the classic seven-stringed instrument for the rest of his life.
Scientific and creative activities
After graduating from school with a gold medal, Dulov entered the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University. During his student years, he began to write songs systematically. Tourist trips and trips "to potatoes" were accompanied by songs performed by Alexander to his own accompaniment. In 1954, a certified engineer received a referral to the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the USSR Academy of Sciences, and worked within its walls for more than fifty years. During this period, he published more than eighty scientific papers and monographs. He defended his candidate's, and then his doctoral dissertation.
Throughout the active period of his life, Dulov did not part with the guitar, composed and performed songs based on the verses of famous poets and his own. The creative pace slowed down only in those periods when it was necessary to work intensively on dissertations and prepare books for publication. Alexander Andreevich did his best not to refuse when he was invited to speak at any event. He performed not only lyric songs. His repertoire included compositions based on poems by Varlam Shalamov and Anatoly Zhigulin, which spoke of the victims of the Great Terror.
Recognition and privacy
The songs "Lame King", "Taiga are all around", "Three Pines" and many others were performed by professional singers and singers. Alexander Dulov did not receive any official titles from the authorities. Three author's albums of the author-performer were released at the Melodiya recording studio.

The husband and wife raised and raised their daughter Elena, who gave them drink to their four grandchildren. Alexander Dulov passed away in November 2007. He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Kideksha in the Vladimir region.
