Biography
The midfielder was born in the capital of Portugal, in Lisbon, in the fall of 1983. The father of the Portuguese was a gypsy, and the mother was a native of Angola. Ricardo had a difficult childhood, his parents divorced when the midfielder was still a child. Due to his gypsy background, Quaresma often endured the ridicule of his classmates. The footballer himself admitted that if it were not for his difficult childhood, then perhaps he would not have had such a nasty character.
At the age of seven, Ricardo entered the Sporting Lisbon academy. The footballer signed his first contract with Sporting in 2001. The first season in the status of a professional football player Quaresma spent in the double of the Lisbon team. Career
The next season for the midfielder was marked by a move to Porto. From the first matches in the "dragons" camp, the midfielder became the team leader and one of the brightest players in the championship. In the first season, Quaresma was recognized as the best player in the championship. After three championships in a row in the Porto camp, Ricardo decided to move to the top league.
In autumn 2008, the midfielder joined Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan. In Italy, Ricardo failed to gain a foothold, and he decided to go on loan, but not just anywhere, but in London's Chelsea. It is not clear what the Portuguese was counting on when he moved to Chelsea. As predicted, the midfielder was unable to play in London and returned to Italy again.
At Inter, the midfielder spent another vague season and was sold to Turkish Besiktas. In Turkey, he immediately became a key player, and, importantly, Turkish fans fell in love with Ricarda. Spring 2012 was remembered for the midfielder's next trick. The Portuguese quarreled with head coach Carlos Carvajal and was suspended from training with the team. In the winter of 2012, Quaresma terminated the contract with Besiktas. Then Ricardo had an unconvincing voyage to Al-Ahli and a return to Porto.
