Hardly anyone in the nineties did not know the song "Press the button - get the result." On television, a clip of the Tekhnologiya group with the soloist Roman Ryabtsev. However, the artist's musical career was not limited exclusively to the group.
Only serious guys in leather jackets participated in the video for "Technologies". The video itself was filmed in black and white. The result looked very brutal.
Childhood time
Roman Nikolayevich Ryabtsev was born in the village of Berezovsky near Voronezh. Here little Roma spent the summer with his grandmother. The parents of the future musician worked as diplomats.
A boy from six to eleven years old lived with them in the Syrian capital Damascus. He finished elementary school there. Further in the family there was a council on what to do next.
Studying at the embassy school in the Middle East was limited to five classes. Therefore, Roman was sent to a boarding school, created specifically for the children of parents who worked abroad.
After completing the course, the future musician went to the Voronezh Pedagogical Institute to get an education. Parents were afraid to leave the teenager unattended. Grandfather and grandmother lived nearby. And the dean was an old and good acquaintance of them.
During the year, the young man studied in Voronezh, and then transferred to the capital. However, in his second year, Roman left the university. Even in high school, Ryabtsev tried his hand at the musical role.
He knew how to play the piano, and a friend from the boarding school owned a synthesizer, an electric organ and a drum machine. The guys recorded three albums together. The quality of them subsequently Roman called terrifying, but the content called sincere.
Vocation
The young man did not think about making music professionally. He understood that the stage requires special education and certification. Ryabtsev's plans included the continuation of his parents' career. He planned to become a diplomat.
The passion for music, however, has not disappeared over time. At the institute, the student became a member of the vocal and instrumental ensemble. In 1987 Ryabtsev took part in the first rock festival in Voronezh. He acted as a guest, out of competition.
After moving to the capital, the young man began to work in a local music group. He then changed the team, went on the first tour and little by little the hobby turned into a real work of life. In the duet "Goodbye, youth!" in 1987 Roman replaced the keyboard player.
Two years passed, and the musician was invited to the same position in "Bioconstructor". The collective was one of the first in the country to start creating music in the techno-pop style. The group transformed into "Technology". The main area of work was synth-pop. At first, Vladimir Nechitailo was the soloist, later Ryabtsev joined him. The band recorded their first album in 1991. The disc was titled "Anything You Want".
Were filmed clips for "Strange Dances", "Press the button". Both compositions quickly turned into a kind of band's business card. Roman is sure that fans have repeatedly called these creations the most famous. Vocals became a distinctive feature of "Technology".
Solo career
The artist has never professionally dealt with voice production. Twice the teachers refused him, explaining that after such treatment he would lose his originality. The collective was produced by Yuri Aizenshpis. Rather, he performed the role of director, since the musicians did not allow him to determine the repertoire and manner.
In 1993, the singer left the band after recording a new disc "Sooner or later". He signed a contract with a French record company. Now the singer recorded the compositions in the manner chosen by him, and not dictated to him. Ryabtsev did not want to stay abroad. He worked both as a composer and as an arranger. During his career, Roman collaborated with the group "t. A. T. U", Kristina Orbakaite, Vlad Stashevsky.
He even had a chance to work in the Hands Up! Team. Their cover version of "Jimmy" is the fruit of Ryabtsev's work. The super-demanded "Ships" at the "Rise" also became his work.
For ten years, the singer has been pursuing a solo career. He has released four discs. The revival of "Technology" began in 2003. The group achieved popularity again. The musicians toured, performed and participated in festivals.
But since 2017 Ryabtsev is tired of the richness of actions. He returned to solo work again. The musician chose the neo-romantic style. He didn't like the underground protest. Later, the genre was supplemented by folk parody.
After his childhood in Syria, the musician became interested in oriental culture. In addition, he speaks Arabic well. I mastered Ryabtsev and English with French.
Family life
The singer and composer was married several times. The first wife Catherine gave him two daughters. In a new marriage with Marina Kantsler, a journalist, there were no children. The couple stayed together for less than a year.
The third wife, Natalia, came to St. Petersburg for a concert of her future husband in 2015. She approached Roman for an autograph. Later, the young people formalized the relationship. Their child, daughter Julia, was born in mid-October 2016. Since 2018, the press has been attracted by the musician's private life. There was information about the separation of the couple. This is denied by both Ryabtsev himself and his wife. The singer's director, Marina Perova, recalled the punishment for such rumors.
Before 2019, Roman released a new video for the famous version of the song "Happy New Year!" It is presented on the artist's personal page on the social network. Ryabtsev's poems and photographs are published in his blog on LiveJournal. He does not maintain an old account, but he does not plan to delete old records.
