Melania Trump is a former model, jewelry and watch designer. But she is best known as the wife of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.
Biography
Melania Trump, nee Melania Knavs, was born on April 26, 1970 in the small Slovenian town of Novo Mesto. However, the family soon moved to Sevnitsa, where her mother Amalia Knavs worked as a fashion designer at the Jutranjka children's clothing factory. And father Victor Knavs ran a dealership selling cars and motorcycles. Melania is not the only child in the family. She has a sister and a half-brother from her father's previous marriage.
As a child, Melania attended the Secondary School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana. Then she entered the University of Ljubljana at the Faculty of Architecture and Design. But a year later, she dropped out and moved to Milan, where she began to participate in fashion shows.
Career
Melania Trump's modeling career began at the age of fifteen. During this period she worked with the photographer Stane Yerko. At sixteen, an aspiring model was invited to take part in the filming of commercials. And when the girl was eighteen years old, she signed her first contract with a modeling agency in Milan.

In 1992, Melania took second place in the "Look of the Year" competition, which was organized by Jana magazine. A few years later she moved to New York, where she continued to build a modeling career. She has starred for magazines such as Style Weddings, Avenue, Philadelphia Style, New York Magazine and others.
In 2000, Melania Trump appeared in a bathing suit on the cover of the American Sports Illustrated magazine, which is associated with Irene Marie Management Group and Trump Model Management. She also collaborated with popular fashion and style publications Vogue, GQ, Harper's Bazaar and others.
In 2005, Melania Trump decided to leave the modeling business after she became the wife of American businessman and politician Donald Trump.
Personal life
In September 1998, at a New York Fashion Week party, Melania Trump first met her future husband, Donald Trump. A year later, a relationship began between them. Young people did not hide their romance, often demonstrating tender feelings for each other in public.

In 2004, the couple announced their engagement. And on January 22, 2005, they got married. The sumptuous wedding ceremony, which was attended by popular American singers, artists and politicians, was held at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.
On March 20, 2006, the couple had a boy named Barron William Trump. He became the fifth child of Donald Trump and is the only son of Melania.
