A social system is a rather complex type of human relationship, which implies a specific goal. It is most often associated with the development of nature, society or certain social groups. However, in order to fully understand this concept, it is necessary to take into account a number of facts.
In the broadest sense, a social system is a highly organized complex of relationships between different individuals.
However, a system of different levels can be called social. Depending on the type of organization, place in society, purpose, essence and relationship with the environment, there are 5 main types:
- The whole society of people. This includes absolutely the entire totality of individuals living on Earth.
- A specific historical community. This includes not only people, but also the relationships between them (political, economic, spiritual and social). Example: American society.
- Estates, nations, ethnic groups, elites, etc. This should include any associations of people of a lesser order.
- Organizations. First of all, business. But it also includes scientific organizations, financial institutions, institutions, and so on.
- Sections, brigades, etc. In fact, the primary groups of people who work in some kind of production or participate in informal organizations.
Also, any social system can be divided into 4 main groups:
- People. The most important component of the social system.
- Processes. That is, any actions related to the political, economic, social or spiritual sphere.
- Household items. They ensure the functioning of the system and simplify the achievement of the task at hand.
- Cultural and social ideas. This includes traditions, customs, values, etc.
