On May 6, 1932, in the capital of our Motherland, in a simple family far from the world of culture and art, the future idol of millions of fans was born. Even in difficult times of war, Sasha did not skip school. And in 1949 he received a certificate of secondary education and became a student of a technical university to obtain a specialization in geology. After graduating from the institute in 1955, Belyavsky went to Irkutsk, where, simultaneously with his work in his specialty, he began to appear on the stage of the local drama theater.
His role in "Woe from Wit" became a key one in life, because then they even wrote about him in a city newspaper. Alexander was imbued with the idea of becoming an actor so much that upon returning to the capital, simultaneously with his work at the research institute, he began to regularly participate in amateur performances. Therefore, no one was surprised that in 1957 he became a student of the legendary "Pike" for four years.
Since 1961, Alexander Belyavsky appeared on the stage of the Satire Theater for three years. And then there were two years at the Stanislavsky Theater in the capital and a period of work at the Theater-Studio of the Film Actor. Then came a long period of time when the actor focused on cinema. But since 1999 he has returned to the stage. He was more familiar to the theatergoers of the capital from the entreprise performances.

And then there was a long stage in his career, when he replenished his filmography with six films, filming for Polish directors. The painting "Four Tankmen and a Dog" had the greatest success then.
And Alexander Belyavsky became truly famous in the subsequent Soviet period of his cinematic work. It was the second half of the "sixties" and "seventies" that filled his filmography with cult projects that are currently included in the Golden Fund of Russian cinema. It is interesting that the actor himself did not at all expect that the role of Fox in "The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed" would make him so popular throughout the post-Soviet space. According to him, he treated this film work as the most ordinary and even “could not figure out how to portray an animal instinct that discovered a police trap” in a scene with a restaurant, where he had to go out through the window.
