However, the figure of Anatoly Borisovich Chubais is so bright and ambiguous that it is impossible for an average expert to withstand such a long pause. Is he to blame or not? The famous reformer and entrepreneur lives in peace.

According to the official biography, Anatoly Chubais was born in the city of Borisov, in Belarus, on June 16, 1955. He already had an older brother Igor. Father is a military man, mother is an economist. The family of the colonel of tank forces had to move from one garrison to another more than once. It so happened that the child became a first grader in Odessa, and graduated from high school in Leningrad. After completing his secondary education, he entered the local engineering and economic institute. After defending his diploma, in 1977, he remained within the walls of Alma Mater as an assistant and became a candidate for membership in the CPSU.
Anatoly Borisovich seriously thought about the career of a scientist and strove with all his might towards the intended goal. The object of the research was the weak points of the economic mechanism operating in the country. At the same time, I had to get acquainted with the monetary methods of managing the market economy. The young and energetic Chubais managed to deal with organizational issues and scientific analysis of processes in the national economy. The work was carried out in different directions. In 1983 he defended his Ph. D. thesis on improving planning methods.
Three years after his defense, Anatoly was one of the founders of the Perestroika club in Leningrad. The young scientist was well aware of how industry and agriculture live in the country, by what criteria the results are assessed and on what basis the planned targets for the industries are formed. Nothing similar was observed in countries with a market mechanism of economic management. In 1988, Chubais spent ten months on probation in Hungary and thoroughly mastered the principles of economic management that were preached by the famous Austrian economists Milton Friedman and Friedrich Hayek.
Dismantling the Soviet system
By the early 1990s, the "democratic process" had already gained momentum. According to the results of the elections to the Leningrad City Council, Chubais was invited to the post of deputy chairman of the city executive committee. He has to spend a lot of time in order to explain the benefits of the management methods that need to be implemented. Time passed, and there were practically no results. In the fall of 1991, after the August putsch, Anatoly Chubais received an invitation to work in the Government of the Russian Federation - to head the State Committee for State Property Management.
When privatization began, Chubais' status was raised to deputy prime minister. The next significant event was the 1996 presidential elections. Thanks to the incredible efforts of Anatoly Borisovich, the election campaign ended in victory for Boris Yeltsin. After this event, Anatoly Chubais worked for a year as the head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. The last post he held in the Government is the Minister of Finance. He was transferred to RAO Unified Energy System of Russia, which he had been reforming for almost 10 years.
In 2008, Chubais was appointed "head" of the company "Rusnano". He is still in charge of this structure. The personal life of the reformer has also undergone several adjustments and restructuring. Today he is married for the third time to Duna Smirnova. The age difference between husband and wife is 14 years. Apparently this is love. Although time will put everything in its place.
