Restless childhood
Each person strives to realize his talent and gain public recognition. The forms of expression of views and positions are chosen according to the circumstances. Natalya Yurievna Chumakova expresses her credo using vocal skills and guitar. She knows how to write lyrics for her own songs. The future punk rock performer was born on July 14, 1969 in a family of Soviet teachers. Parents at that time lived in Kyrgyzstan. Father and mother worked as teachers at the school. In search of better living conditions, young teachers moved to Novgorod. But it was not possible to get an apartment here.
After long expectations, the family moved to the famous city of Novosibirsk. Six months later, we received a comfortable apartment, where there were all conditions for the harmonious development of the child. Natalia studied well at school. In literature lessons, I learned about the work of Sergei Yesenin and Marina Tsvetaeva. And she even began to write poetry, imitating her favorite poets. I learned to play the guitar and a little on the piano on my own. When the time came to choose a profession, Chumakova decided to get a pedagogical education. In her student years, she became interested in rock music.
Civil defense
Having received a teacher's diploma, Chumakova worked for several years as a school teacher. However, the lack of real prospects pushed her to change the field of activity. She tried journalism. After some time, Natalya met the musicians of the punk group "Chiefs of the Party" and she was invited to join the group. Communication in the music underground was accompanied by new acquaintances and connections. At one of the events, she met Yegor Letov. At the first meeting, this man did not make an impression on the girl.
Natalya learned from friends and acquaintances that Letov is the leader of the legendary punk group Civil Defense. On the next date, they really met. A creative and human relationship began between Natalia and Yegor. In May 1998, Chumakova began playing bass as part of a popular band. It is important to emphasize that Natalia fully shared Yegor's views on life values and creativity. Letov met such a woman for the first time in his life and, it seems, fell in love.
Career and personal life
A lot of truth and fiction have been written about how musicians live outside the stage. Natalia Chumakova was married twice. In the first marriage, the husband and wife lived for two years and parted. Chumakova and Letov legalized their relationship - they registered at the registry office. In 2008, the husband died suddenly. Natalia took the loss of a loved one hard. Over the course of all subsequent years, she was engaged, and is now engaged in preserving the memory of his work - she publishes books and makes films.
