Adriana Ugarte is a Spanish actress known far beyond the borders of her country. To date, she has more than 30 roles in television series and films. Among the latest films with her participation - the drama of Pedro Almodovar "Juliet", the comedy of Daniel Otoya "My Wife's Lover", the thriller Oriola Paolo "During a Thunderstorm".
Actor career
Adriana Ugarte was born on January 17, 1985 in the Spanish capital - Madrid. Her parents had nothing to do with art (her father worked as a judge, her mother was a lawyer), but her grandfather, Eduard Ugarte, became famous in his time as a writer and set designer, he even had a chance to collaborate with the famous surrealist director Luis Buñuel.
From an early age, Adriana performed on the school stage. And already in 2001 she made her debut in cinema - she starred in the short film "Mala espina". After that, she was regularly invited to small roles in Spanish-language soap operas.
Adriana's first major success came in 2006. This year the movie "Dog's Head" (directed by Santiago Amodeo) was released, where she played the main female character - a girl with the beautiful name Consuelo. For this film, Adriana was nominated for the Spanish national Goya award (however, she did not manage to win then, the award went to another actress that year).
Then Adriana became the leading role in the TV series "Senora". It appeared on Spanish TV from 2008 to 2010 and was very popular - it was watched by millions of viewers.
In 2009, Adriana took part in the film by Salvador Garcia Ruiz "Studies in Three". This movie (as the title suggests) is about a strange love triangle made up of two guys and one girl.
This was followed by several more striking works - the role of Merche in the film "The Other Side of Love", the role of fraudster Ari in the action adventure film "Ignition", the role of Clarence in the melodrama "Palms in the Snow", one of the main roles in the film "Juliet" by Pedro Almodovar.
It is also worth noting that in 2018, Adriana Ugarte was involved in Oriola Paolo's fantastic thriller During a Thunderstorm (this film, by the way, managed to raise more than $ 10 million in theaters and received very high marks from viewers around the world). Here she appeared in the form of a nurse Vera, who accidentally had a chance to change the past and prevent a terrible tragedy that happened 25 years ago.
Personal life
In 2013, on the set of the already mentioned film "Ignition", the actress met the film actor Alex Gonzalez (he is familiar to the Russian audience, for example, from the blockbuster "X-Men: First Class", where he played Ripside, a mutant capable of rotating around itself at high speeds and create vortices).
Interestingly, the actor and actress managed to hide their relationship for a long time. In many interviews, they said that they are only good friends. Their secret was revealed by one paparazzi who managed to photograph the kiss of a star couple. Since then, Adriana and Alex began dating openly. However, they still have not officially become husband and wife.
