Instructions
Step 1
An appointment at the embassy is carried out for all citizens of the Russian Federation and representatives of other countries in a single queue and regardless of the type of question or problem. The only exceptions are emergencies. Before recording, think over the tasks, dates and terms of your appeal, choose the most convenient time to travel to the embassy. There are several ways to record.
Step 2
You can sign up online at any time. This system is also convenient because it is free. True, it exists so far only in English, versions in Russian and German are under development. To record on the site, you will need to enter the data of the Russian passport, and for a child under 14 years old - the data of his birth certificate. If the application is submitted by a non-citizen of Russia, he enters the data of his passport. Even if you are applying for the issue of views at the consular department of the embassy or at the visa center of Germany, for Russian citizens it is not required to have a passport at the time of submitting such an application, it will only be required at the time of filing documents.
Step 3
You can make an appointment to apply for a visa at the consular section of the embassy or at the visa center up to 12 weeks before the desired date of the interview. It should be remembered that the consular department deals with all types of national visas: student, immigration, family reunification visas or language courses for more than 90 days. Tourist visas are handled by the Visa Center. Registration is made by the number of passports of all citizens who want to obtain a visa. Re-entry is not made in order to shorten the queues at the embassy. If you want to sign up for a different date, you will first have to cancel the application for submission of documents on the site or wait until its term expires.
Step 4
Be careful when filling out the application: if you fill in the numbers of your passport or birth certificate incorrectly, you will not be allowed into the visa department and you will have to appoint a different date for filing documents. For the convenience of users, the website of the German Embassy in Russia has detailed instructions on how to use an electronic record.
Step 5
The second way to register at the embassy will be by phone call. The call is charged the usual long distance charges. You will need your passport details to record. Calls are accepted on weekdays from 8.30 to 17.00, during official Russian holidays the phone does not work.
Step 6
You can make an appointment to receive documents at the embassy itself. To do this, you need to come to the embassy on Monday or Thursday from 8.15 to 09.00, take your Russian passport with you, as well as your international passport, if you have one. An appointment by phone or at the embassy is no different from electronic and does not have the advantages of an earlier appointment, all applications fall into one database. The only difference with a personal record is that it cannot be canceled. Therefore, think carefully about the most suitable date for visiting the embassy by appointment, so that you do not have to wait again for the right day.
