Was born in 1966 in Moscow. The politician and public figure practically does not talk about childhood. It is only known that his mother grew up in an orphanage and tried to instill in her son such qualities as assertiveness and fortitude.

1983 to 1988 German studied at the Red Banner Military Engineering Institute, then served in Kamchatka. In 1995 he qualified as an economist after retraining at the Higher School of Economics.
Career
Herman Klimenko began his career as a programmer in a bank, as he later admitted to find a job helped his mother's connections. Herman worked in the banking sector from 1993 to 2008, holding various positions. After being appointed advisor to the President, Klimenko transferred control over his projects to his son. It is known that advertisements for a torrent tracker have been repeatedly seen on the main pages of the LiveInternet resource. Klimenko himself stated that neither he nor his son had anything to do with the torrent, although he personally knew the owners of the resource.

German Klimenko is actively lobbying for disconnecting the Runet from the global network, stating that Russia is technically ready, the only problem is storing information and using foreign servers. He also actively criticizes the actions of Google and the instant messaging service Telegram, threatening to block them.
And, as some media outlets note, Klimenko associated himself with the authorities from the very beginning, even before he took the post of adviser to the President. It was Klimenko who actively criticized the refusal of the deputies, who adopted a law obliging to store personal data on domestic servers. However, he sharply changed his mind, proposing to ban foreign social networks after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine.
Personal life
He is twice married and has two children from each marriage. He divorced his first wife in 2000, the divorce was provoked by Herman's departure from the banking sector. After 2 years, German Klimenko remarried.
