Instructions

Step 1

Take a close look at the watermark. On a genuine bill, it consists of darker parts and vice versa, lighter ones. On a fake, in most cases, you can see that the color of the watermark is much darker, and it practically does not change throughout.

Step 2

If you need to verify the authenticity of a thousand-ruble bill, be sure to slide your finger along the back of the microperforation. If this is a counterfeit bill, you will feel the unevenness of the surface, but on a real one it is impossible to find one.

Step 3

Feel also the inscription BANK OF RUSSIA TICKET. It may be noticeably less prominent than usual. In this case, it is more expedient to refuse the bill - it is most likely a counterfeit.

Step 4

Remember that a bill of any denomination must have a metal security thread - it is inside the bill and is visible as a dotted line. Returning to the one thousand-ruble bills, the number one at the bottom of the banknote should be above this security thread. And if the bill that fell into your hands is false, then on the contrary, the security thread will pass over the unit.

Step 5

On the thousand-ruble bill, take a closer look at the coat of arms of Yaroslavl, which depicts a bear. If, when the bill is tilted, it changes color from reddish to greenish, then the bill is real. Accordingly, if the color does not change, the bill is fake.

Step 6

Consider a strip of vertical pattern. It should be on both sides of the bill. If you look at the banknote in the light, you can see more parts of the pattern than during normal examination - a sign of a real banknote.

Step 7

Remember that when making real bills, red, yellow and yellow-red fibers must be inserted into the paper. They can be found in different places on the currency.

Step 8

Find on the left side of the face of a good banknote the icon of three stripes and dots - this is a sign for people with low or no vision. Be sure to feel it too - it doesn't have to be smooth to the touch, otherwise the bill is clearly a fake.
