If the fur coat you bought turned out to be defective, according to the Law of the Russian Federation "On Protection of Consumer Rights", you have the right to choose one of three options for solving this problem. You can exchange a low-quality fur coat for a new one, hand it over for free warranty repair, or return the product back to the store and get its value.
Step 2
Keep in mind that every fur item has a warranty period. This period is determined by the manufacturer, and the store is obliged to take it into account. Sometimes it happens that the manufacturer does not specify it. In this case, the store has the right to act at its own discretion. However, the warranty period for a fur product cannot be less than 6 months.
Step 3
According to the Rules for the Sale of Fur Products, if defects are found in the product that were not specified by the seller, the buyer has the right to make a claim within six months and return the purchase to the store. Moreover, the time during which claims can be made is calculated from the start of the season. In Moscow, the season for wearing a fur coat begins on November 1 and ends on March 1.
Step 4
Finding a marriage, take a fur coat with documents and go to the store. If there is an obvious defect, you will be refunded the money.
Step 5
If the seller has doubts about your claim, he will need to check the item to make sure that your claims are valid. You have the right to participate in this review. If you do not agree with the answer received, ask for an expert opinion. It should be arranged by the seller. If you disagree with its results, insist on an independent examination. It is paid by the applicant. If the expert proves you are right, the store will be obliged to fulfill your requirements and pay for the expert's services. If it turns out that the damage to the product was due to the fault of the buyer or due to force majeure circumstances, you will be obliged to pay all material costs.
Step 6
Remember that having bought a fur coat, you have the right to return it back to the store within two weeks without giving a reason. If you find a defect at home or you just don't like the thing, feel free to return it back.
