At first glance, the process of writing a journalistic text seems simple: you just need to fix your thoughts on the topic. However, if you do not know the algorithm for working on the text, you can simply get confused and "bogged down" in these very thoughts. So when you start preparing a newspaper or magazine publication, think over the stages of work from start to finish.
It is necessary
Ability to collect and analyze information
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a topic for your post. Typically, it is impossible to just sit down and come up with one as soon as the need arises. Themes of speeches are formed in the mind of a person as he perceives and ponders the incoming information from the outside world. To develop these abilities, it will be useful to listen to the news on the radio during the day, read the websites of news agencies and subscribe to the newsletter of the companies you are interested in.
Step 2
The next stage of work is the collection of information. It is important to find the maximum amount of information on the chosen topic and find, if any, all opposing points of view on the problem. You have the right to agree or argue with the views presented, but they must be taken into account so as not to show the situation one-sidedly and flatly. Sources of information can be documents, photographs, video and audio recordings, Internet archives and, of course, people whose feedback and comments are especially valuable, but also need to be especially thoroughly checked (with the help of other sources).
Step 3
Having received and considered the maximum amount of information, you are able to take a fresh look at your topic - to reconsider, perhaps, a prejudiced attitude in some moments, to better understand all the subtleties of the matter. At this stage, the creator of the publication forms the idea of his text, which consists of two parts. It includes a basic idea - the author's system of views and values, as well as a working idea - the message that he wants to convey to his readers on the basis of the basic idea. To better understand your own text, formulate these ideas for yourself as accurately as possible.
Step 4
Then you can draw up a plan for a future publication, recording the key points in it and thinking about what order of thoughts will look the most logical.
Step 5
Using this hint, write the text. Keep in mind, however, that the facts and conclusions cited must be proportionate in scope. That is, each conclusion must be supported by a sufficient number of significant facts. Also pay attention to the presentation style. It depends on your goals and the characteristics of potential readers. Your language of expression, symbols and subtext should be clear to the group of people you are addressing.
Step 6
Read the finished text, correct mistakes and typos. Next time, return to the publication only in a day, or, if this is not possible, at least in a couple of hours. With a fresh eye, you will see shortcomings that you did not notice before. For the same purpose, it is useful to read the text aloud and involve a person you trust in the discussion. If you have some free time, double-check all the facts that you mention in the publication, as well as the spelling of the names of people and the official names of positions and organizations.
